Second try and 3399 score! Thanks, it was good.
Nice work! I like the small animations and the art design, felt very consistent to me.
My only confusion was not realising those billowing plumes meant I got a gas field. Maybe a muted explosion sound or something different to cue a player audibly?
Noticed that there wasn't any music too. Hopefully when I get to polish niceNESs, it can help in that dept. 😅
Yes, I realized that gas fields can be misinterpreted. I wanted to add a sound associated with the explosions, but I couldn’t due to “environmental reasons” (a toddler) :D I think your niceNESs is fantastic, but I’m having trouble using it. It’s too high a level for me, I need to practice :D
lol I still have ways to go to make it less intimidating, and easier to use.
I would even offer to make the tunes too, as that would probably be the next thing I'll do to put it through its paces.
Rather snazzy game. While the gems gave you some leads, it did feel like a gamble every time. I could see this being expanded upon with other mechanics and tools. Possibly a game about building up a mining company.
Thank you. I want to expand the game adding features to reduce the gambling feeling :D
Beautiful art! I liked the minesweeper twist with knowing directions and gas not being immediately lethal. Also I can 100% relate with making SFX while there's a small child sleeping haha
Good job!
Thank you!
I really like the visuals, graphics and theme! A bit more audio would be lovely, the asteroid break sound effect alone is a bit harsh on the ears.
Thank you! This is my first time trying to make sound effects, and unfortunately, working at night with a small child in the next room prevented me from creating more effective sounds… :)
Haha that's perfectly understandable :) congrats on finishing the game with thoses conditions <3
I got lucky and received around 2000 scores XD
quite fun XD
on the gameplay itself, without clear indication of how many to the left, up, down, right that contains gems, the mechanic became luck based
especially because the gems area can be destroyed because of gas
Yes, I know… The problem is that with more precise instructions, the game would have been too simple. I’ll try something more complex in the next jam :)
Sorry, I’ve deleted a post by accident… :(
