Description
A soundtrack featuring lighthearted, melancholic, mystery and horror songs.
The game is a romance-horror visual novel, a bit cliché-y, something in-between "Doki doki literature club" and "Saya no uta".
Plot details are in the itch page to avoid cluttering this section.
Every song was made in reaper with virtual instruments, synths and some recordings.
Stylistically, the soundtrack is mostly similar to what is found within 2010's romance visual novels: chamber music with realistic-ish pianos and virtual-sounding instruments.
Other parts are dark drone/ambiant.
Songs are numbered mostly as they would come along in the game, with some songs being reusable from time to time. Not every song would play in one run though.
Every song except for the last are loopable.
I intended for at least two "endings" but the second ending's song couldn't be made because of time and motivation [insert sad face here].

It sounds really good, and it would fit the VN you described (sounds interesting and would like to see the game like this after the description lol). My main issues were Shack and Iron, the sound there was harsh and almost it lacked variety, and I doubt I could listen to them on repeat for long. I really really enjoyed the cheery slice-of-life themes tho, I think You hit the nail on the head with those. Great job!
I'm curious, to me Shack is pretty mild, does it sound too strong? Is is because of the sub-bass?
Anyway, thanks for taking your time :)
Great soundtrack! I wanted more from Summer house and Water games! Great work :)
I've never played Doki Doki nor even watched any of it but I have heard some of the music and If you told me these were just also from the game I would believe you.
Main theme: Some pleasant Mixolydian to start.
Summer house: Town theme vibes. Pretty effective!
Cake!: Bouncy and jolly. Love the percussion choices.
Nikumi: I love this lil music box theme.
Family: I love this vibe a lot. Great bass.
Water Game: I love this bouncy track. Very cute.
Nap: Nice melody here!
Shack: Ooh its getting scary. I like the heartbeat-like ambience.
Iron: This caught me off guard in a good way. Definitely gives me the horror visual novel scene vibes.
Nerve: This is so tough. Love the drums.
Together: More heartbeat with a cool subby sound. I like how the main theme is poking out from the creepy atmosphere.
Slumber: Ooh, love the parts after the halfway mark, beautiful but haunting conclusion.
The tracks all matched the story on your itch page p well. Nice work!
Loved all of these tracks, really good work on this! I definitely hear the inspiration from Doki Doki Literature Club, I loved that game too back when I first played it. Hope to find your music again in future jams.
Love the mood it sets, lighthearted and cloudy. Iron almost threw me out of the chair tho
Family definitely is my favourite track ! I really enjoyed you putting all the tracks in order, felt very very nice to play as is ! Good job for this nice yet overwhelming (in a good way) soundtrack !!
Big fan of Slumber and Family

Overall: Really solid submission, I like the droney parts though feel that dynamics could benifit from being controlled a little bit more.
I liked your main theme and the variations you created. Nice choice of synths and orch instrument. I could see the darker version of your main theme in the last 5 tracks. Good Job!
Such clean and nostalgic compositions! Really got the older visual novel vibes from it, and I enjoyed listening to these a lot. I would've liked if you provided just a bit more context on each of the tracks so listeners could follow the story more easily. For example, I would love to know why the Family track sounds a bit shifty, and how or if it ties into the darker tracks later on and such. Thanks for sharing, great job!
I have a vague idea of the overall plot in my head, and there's a short track by track lore explanation in the itch page but frankly it's quite fuzzy.
Anyway, I'm glad you liked it :)
I was a little lost for the story feel during the mood change especially in Iron. It is quite good for the sappy feel it is trying to make then the horror for the 2nd part. Slumber does tie things together and it is sufficiently satisfactory as a ending payoff.
