- Graphics : Not much to say here, it's completely serviceable.
- Music / Sfx : SFX are fine, music might need some tweaks.
- Gui : Very basic, The top left section (relics, AI / Tiles) is fine, but the top right zoom/gamespeed look like native unity windows and bottom right is a bit 'meh'. Zoom should be reversed IMO and probably reduced in severity of how close in you can get (slow / more gradual zoom)
- Gamplay : Very good, I'm fond of these types of games. This type of game is tending to be a dime a dozen and yet this one found a way to stand out.
- Notes :
- I like that despite this being basically a rehash of any number of old flash (and mobile) games, this took the same formula and made something different and better.
- It's very addictive.
- There needs to be an option menu , resolution, fullscreen/window/fullscreen window (the current default?), which monitor the game uses, sound effect & music sliders.
- Map editor and a way to share said maps would be a nice addition
- Maybe post-full release , a VS mode, this could be very interesting if slowed down for a 4-8 vs match.
- Attack / Defense / Production are a bit unclear on how good or bad they are, why "100 attack" when "10" attack + 2 could do just as well, "2 Production" means what, 2 per second? Somethings felt rather inconsistent or unclear.
- I think there needs to be a way of making more complicated 'orders' , mostly splitting production between two/three cells. I feel like this is somewhat needed on bigger maps when things start becoming completely chaotic.
- A symbol/icon/colour highlight when a cell is in "defense" mode and not having an output.
- The white arrows can quickly become "noise" and it becomes hard to determine which cells are stationary vs attack vs getting attacked (see previous)
- Some maps can be VERY unfair, maybe some maps need a more lenient placement (?)
Overall I quite liked this game and cut myself short in my play through as I could feel the "one more game" syndrome setting in.
