What would it take for you to make amends?
In Panama City, Florida, a father and daughter take their dog to a crowded public beach; however, the two aren't exactly on talking terms. When the dog, Loulou, runs into the crowd, the two run after her, finding themselves in a surreal world that relies on their teamwork for progression. The land of Triquetra. Together, Tanim and Darya must realize the importance of their familial bond, breaking a generational curse.
Triquetra is a soundtrack for a theoretical story-based puzzle RPG. As a result, each track is set for cutscenes, levels, or bosses, and will be clarified. All of this was created in Beepbox mods called Pandora's Box and UltraBox.

Message from the artist
This Jam, I decided to submit something quite personal to me. For a portion of my childhood, I spent a lot of time in a beach house owned by my grandfather and his siblings, most of whom were musicians. This OST reflects a lot of the music I would hear growing up; the blues, jazz, country... all intertwined with my own jazzy chiptune style. And even beyond that, the plotline is personal as well. The theme of overcoming generational trauma is purposeful, and it's something I've struggled with; learning to accept your culture and love your family despite the pain you may have experienced in the past.
The dog, Loulou, is based on my own dog, Layla. One of my best friends! She has recently undergone surgery and is in recovery, and she absolutely ADORES the beach! I wanted to give back to her in a way and honor her in this submission.
I could go on and on about this submission and its emotional depth. It may not be compositionally perfect, but it's something I'm proud of! I hope y'all enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it!!! :DDD
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
Both the word theme and the picture theme reminded me of a time in my childhood when I lived down by the beach on the Florida panhandle every summer. She stands on the dock, contemplative, as the sun sets. It almost seems nostalgic - and it's a feeling I sympathized with. Using the girl in the image as the protagonist, I brought a very personal time in my life alive through music and storytelling. I played around with genres I heard a lot during my time at the beach (blues, jazz, country, etc) and crafted an OST heavily inspired from my own experiences in Florida.
