Not many people who opt for NumPy awesome entry! The art is really cute too! As many people have said the collisions are a bit off
I didn't know how to use numpy. I use pygame & auto_py_to_exe. :L
pretty interesting and unique game, I had issues with collisions though
I concur with the other people saying that the collisions feel off. And it seems wrong that you can get stuck in walls.
But despite of that, I had fun working around these challenges, and beating the five levels. I assume level 6 is the last level.
The game idea is unique and original, I really liked it. Wishing you success in future projects!
The collisions are weird, I kept getting stuck between the tiles. The music choice is a bit odd for a maze game, I couldn't get past level 3 sadly; the level design was good. Good job!
I like the design, but the collisions feel a bit off. With a bit more work this could turn into a really good game.
Either way good job :)
The color palette is quite nice and love the design of the player. The collisions do seem to be a bit off though
Cool game ! , the collisions are broken , and the tile set is not tiling really well , but nontheless Keep going man !
And do anyone noticed an almost-transparent key in each level?
It will be not useful on this update (is improving)
Ran into a couple issues where I got stuck on the walls. Also, on level 3,I got pushed off the board and was stuck outside of it. Certainly a start to something, but needs a bit more polish.
The red circle is around the top of my head. The water(?) is what pushed me through the wall.
+ clue: you can press r to restart the level
This is the first Python game I’ve seen in this jam lol. I got stuck in the wall on level 3. The page says WASD but in-game it’s actually the arrow keys. Also, the character gets stuck near walls sometimes. The game could use a bit more polish.
There is a boost you can use. and when you touch to the water, YOU SHOULDN'T PRESS UP OR DOWN ARROW. Because it will boost push speed.
"This is the first Python game" why?
Lần đầu thấy game làm bằng python trong jam này. Chủ yếu t thấy godot và unity là chính.
For the first project pretty solid.
The only thing i would critique at this stage would be the getting stuck on collisions with the walls.
Focus on the basics first and everything else will fall into place.
Great Work!
Well critique is not the right word. Its just the advice i would give.
Keep at it! You are right on track.
Making a game with Python is really weird and great, even without any game engine. I loved the level design.
Its adorable! And can be challenging! Level 3 gave me quite a lot of trouble xd
There's plenty of room to improve, but you've done well.
its some nice progress for a jam, I wish you the best of luck!
Thanks. In future, this game will be improved. :)
we will try to improve it! But we just started the first time. :)
I really liked the little astronaut he was very cute. When moving if i hit a tile i seemed to get stuck on it, it would probably be worth having it slightly repel you so you don't get stuck. the tiling background sprites also don't seem to tile correctly. The background music is really good!
