Wasn't expecting to load up an emulator to try out the games, but it's pretty cool that you made your game into a rom file!
Neat concept; I can definitely see more coming from this idea, though right now it's very bare bones. What you do have is quite good though!

Didn’t expect to play a GBA game for the jam! The animation on catching the fish is super cute, and the aesthetics are charming and work wonderfully together. The hook controls are nice and tight as well - may or may not have delved for several minutes to see if there was anything past the fish, and then took a looooong time coming back up lmao.
There will be in later builds! Ponds will have bottoms, and your fishing line will only be so long I'm glad you enjoyed what I had to offer!

Started avoiding the fish as a challenge
I do have a GBA emulator. I am currently playing through Lunar Legends. I do like the game. I just wish I had more to say about it. XP
Wish I had put more into it, then there might have been something to say, haha! 8P
A very simple premise that definitely needs some work, but I can see this game being very good once you have a proper gameplay loop in!~
