Does a public save tranfer to the pateron build or do i need to start over?

I beat the free version yesterday and i was craving more. So before i subscribe to get the pateron build is there any issues moving my save over?

You can continue the game using the public build save file. You just need to copy and paste the save file into the save folder of the Patreon version.

I was having trouble finding my save files from free version to move to patreon one. the free version is on my desktop and looked around but couldnt find the save folder

The saves are in a folder called savedata within the overall game folder. if you downloaded it via the itch.io client, you can easily find it by right-clicking on Launch and selecting 'Open folder in explorer'. If you downloaded it via web, I can't know your folder location, but if you also don't know it, it's very likely whatever the default folder is for your device/browser.
