Your health is Luck.
The lower your Luck, the more likely for you to happen upon Unlucky Rooms, which are more difficult than regular rooms.

That was fun! Competent, with charming enemy art. I like the extra layer of complexity the pure auto-aim adds to the gameplay, especially with the more dynamic enemies!

I appreciate the volume controls; the default volume regularly clipped above -0 dB.

Good work!

I love TBOI so this game was an instant play for me. Honestly, you did pretty well with it too! I enjoyed the different enemies, and liked the little power ups and unlucky rooms scattered about. Overall, it was a fun entry. Good job!

Fun little game! I like the variety of enemies.

Nice little game, reminds me a lot of TBOI (I assume it was an inspiration?). I think having the bullets fire automatically was a smart choice, and the pace of the game was good. I think my main gripes would be a lack of walls/geometry (that I came across at least) to use to route enemies, and health/luck being a bit too limited. Overall though nice job.

I like such games, and I really like yours too. I think the minimalist music fits very well, and it’s just fun.

As someone who's a massive fan of The Binding of Isaac I'm very biased when I say that I think your game is great.

You have a really nice variety of content for a jam game in terms of the enemies/items/bosses. You even have different room layouts.

As far as the difficulty goes, I always had to work to stay alive and I could never relax in that OP way you can in Isaac, but I also won 2 runs out of 3. (I'm not counting the run where it gave me the boss straight after my first item though, so my health wasn't full.) Personally I think the difficulty feels pretty good right now, if not a smidge in the player's favour.

In short: excellent.

Wow that is high praise, thanks a lot :)

I really liked the enemy design and the wide variety of enemies. In my opinion, I would increase the difficulty of the boss fights; some of the  unlucky Room encounters seemed harder than the bosses themselves. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot. Great job!

Hey, thanks! You’re right about the bosses, but if you can believe it I have actually been tuning down the difficulty of unlucky rooms almost right up until the deadline haha Even now they can feel unfair sadly…

Saw the description of what games you based this off of so it was an instant play for me. theme was interpreted quite well . I had a ton of fun playing and honestly wished it went on a bit longer.

I like how your health is used to pick up items and the both make the game easier with a new ability but also harder by increasing chance of the unlucky rooms.  Nice entry.

Super cool game, challenging ! Nice ambiance too, love that little guy.
Also died out of luck on picking a cool item, that's peak unlucky feeling !

Wow! This is awesome. Super fun to play.

Everything about this is super cool, love the art, the music is GREAT.

I had an issue where the webpage would just reload on its own from using too much memory.

Edit: The reloading is a Safari issue. Not the game.
