Hello!! This is gonna be my first game jam and I’m a little nervous about being able to finish everything solo. Do any experienced game jammers have any tips for newbies? I would appreciate any advice thank you!

I hope everyone has fun and the best of luck! :D

Keep it simple. Dont worry too much about the graphics, focus on gameplay first. Test a lot, ask a friend if you can. Submitting the project itself takes time, so dont leave it at the very last minute. That's all I can think of at the moment...

Good luck with your project! =)

I'm sure you can use royalty-free music and sfx

Play to your strengths.
If your mostly a programmer, try to find a good source of ready made assets. If you have done a few games in a particular genre, try to stick to that genre.
If on the other hand, you do mostly Art and Story, Pick a genre and Game engine that focuses on that (e.x. a Visual Novel)
In either case, pick a game engine if you haven't already and experiment with it if you haven't already.

For sure! yeah I’m still getting used to making my own assets I’m a little torn about if I’m gonna have time to make my own or if I should just find some but thank you! I’ll definitely keep that in mind
