"just click on actions whose consequences you don't understand. Just like real CEOs do." Such a good play on the theme.... and reality! Really lovin' the humor here xD

That was pretty fun to me xD

done! ty for the reminder!

(1 edit)

well yeah i tried for days to come up with any rules but nothing came to mind and i wanted to do something anyway so i resorted to randomness, i feel your frustration, im also annoyed that i couldn't come up with anything, i just had a vague idea and couldn't really take it anywhere, i have no clue how people just... do that! insane stuff to me, i watched some videos about level design but i feel like there's a knowledge gap that i have no clue how to fill, i'd appreciate any learning resource, i really enjoy making stuff and i really hate when i just can't for a reason or another, that was a long rant im sorry about that xD but i completely agree with you, it absolutely needed some sort of rules system

Peak submissions, no notes

Oh yeah the orange square under them is a visual representation of the level you're on, the screen felt too empty so I just did that, weird decision ik xD

Thank you a lot for your feedback on dialogue, that idea never came to mind!!!

Also a color is made up of a hue, saturation and value, which is what their hints are about, so in total you're given six hints, three of which are supposed to be truths and the other three are lies, though I found through testing that that's not always the case, woops!

Ig that accidentally adds to the no trust part lol

And the correct answer is randomly generated on each start of the level so the hints are either right or wrong not close or far, some people seemed to assume that it could be literally a color in the middle, that's also on me xD

To be completely honest with you, even on my own attempts with it I'd forget what name I gave to what color, I kept searching for names for said colors but I just couldn't find something accurate enough so I'm really sorry for that, I might remove the extra greens all together cuz you're not the only one who struggled so don't worry about that at all!

A color can be defined by its HSV, hue saturation and value, so each character gives you a hint about two of those three, a random color each level is the right answer and they give you hints to get to it, though the hints are also random in that they can either be truths or lies, so it's just a game of guessing and assuming things.

I'm glad someone found the idea appealing! Thank you so much for your lovely comment!

So my two close friends had an easy time with it, others i showed it to struggled with it a lot, with myself tho it's really easy but that's prob because i have patience and im the dev of it, what makes a game too difficult or too easy? im getting a mixed bag and i wanna learn something outta this experience, thank you in advance :3

i adore this game so much, a work of art frfr

the idea of word and color and number or whatever it was just couldn't leave my mind when the jam started even tho the theme is trust no one, so why not make both? hope you enjoyed it!

that game was SOOOO fun omg i love it so so so much

you're not too far off from the original idea! it had a story that gave the "attacking shapes" more meaning than just that.

currently busy with some things and college but I'm definitely making that demo :D

i will i promise, currently learning godot!

interesting game!! love the design :D

will do!! thank you for your nice comment, there will be a real demo soon!

such a unique style!! good job :D

absolutely!! thank you for taking the time to give it a try, really appreciate it <3

Don't worry it might be the end of the jam but not the end of the world, you did something and that's awesome on its own, you've got a cool game submitted on a cool gamejam and you can flex now xD

getting rushed sucks, i adore your style tho <3

i like the style a lot!!! i get you my submission was rushed too due to bugs and i had to copy the file and remove most things and make anything at all before the deadline with a few hours and i had to sleep so i couldnt do too much, i'll give it a good rating as best as i can!!

the art is the best thing about it omg 😍

I love it!!! for some reason the way it looks reminds me of cookie clicker XD

(there WILL be a real demo soon, just needed to get something uploaded)

cant wait to play the full game :P

PEAK game, enjoyed the mechanics of the dead cat and the dashing, love the theme and how it looks, it's not the typical you die and use your corpse to progress stereotypical game, but it's cooler than that, overall enjoyed the difficulty of it, it's not too easy and not impossible, I adore it <3

me too, i have no clue what i'll do with audio 😭
