Great job! I really like the atmosphere you've created, and the music is cool, I hummed it for a while after playing.

That's weird. I honestly have no idea. Could you tell me what browser you're using? I'll see if I can fix it.
I was using firefox for that ss. Switched to edge and was able to get to the main menu, then it freeze. Guess it is just not meant to be.
I don't know, I just tried it on Edge and it works fine.
I did some research, although I didn't get much information. It could be due to incompatibilities with the browser. There is also a downloadable version.
I am unable to play the windows version. On both edge and opera browsers the download is being interrupted due to a virus scan issue. I tried installing love2d to see if that helped but it did not. Try to compile to web if possible, if love2d can be compiled to c then it can be compiled to wasm.
I don't know why it detects it as a virus. The same thing happened to me on a laptop and on the same PC I used to program it! It can be solved if you disable the antivirus. I tried to make a web version but I didn't know how. I'll investigate further to see how to do it. I'll let you know if I can do it.
Done, I managed to do it, the web version is now available!
Awesome! Yeah solid game, you got a good atmosphere going, sounds felt good. Just need a bit of gameplay, I thought it may have been a twist where it turns into a shooter game at the end lol
LOL, that was the original idea. I was thinking of two endings: one where if you continue, you kill yourself, and another where if you return, you can kill everyone else, and then commit suicide anyway. It could have been a nice twist, and it could have solved the problem of it not being playable. Unfortunately, I didn't have time.

I know, it's practically non-playable. I was going to add more gameplay, but since it's my first game, it took me longer than I should have, and I decided to dedicate what I had left to creating that depressive atmosphere.

I know it's pretty short, but since it's my first game, it took me longer than I should have to get the basics right, and there really isn't much gameplay. I'm still proud of what I managed to create.
I actually used love2d because balatro is made in love2d, and I found it very easy to use and had great potential. I liked using love2d.
The idea is great! It's a nice concept, the atmosphere is great, the story's implications are well implemented... But it's a real shame there isn't anything to do see other than progress; there's no substance...
