Played it with a friend watching and hoooooo boy, the story and the art made me super uncomfortable (as intended) in the best way possible! I'm a sucker for great cinematography in media and I think this really excels in it!

Thanks again koko for being one of the first to play Nova's Ship! It was super fun to see a fellow sea AND whale game, taken in an entirely different direction.

:( horse girl but also I hope I gave the worm indigestion >:(

Hey koko! So stoked you were the FIRST to play and comment on my game. I put you first in my reviews for the jam on stream and I'm posting here for your own feedback and promotion!  Thanks so much for your rating and thoughts. All the best! - Kyle

Fellow whale/sea game! We were treated to a little cutscene? Whaaat? Impressive. Also, the unsettling atmosphere kicks right in, aided by the beautifully grotesque designs on backgrounds and characters both, and they're nicely paired with the writing. It was reminiscent of the vibes I got when I read The Shadow over Innsmouth. Great job!

This is incredible. From an artist perspective, and as a lover of the disturbing, I was deeply impressed with the art direction. The animations, character designs, and environments were just wonderful. The sound design elevates that immersion very well.  Jora was a delight. And do my eyes deceive me- Is the whaler an umamusume fan? Rip urara.

Well done team! An incredible VN.

thank you for playing-- and the kind words haha. And yea, had to include Haru Urara somewhere after learning she passed :c

That tapeworm crept my out.

This game is positively disturbing. Absolutely nailed the horror. The art and sound work perfectly to create a atmosphere that is hard to stomach. I am really impressed with how coherent everything felt despite it coming from a bigger team. Everyone did an amazing job!

Developer

thank you! it's great to hear that our goal of making something disturbing was successful!

I'm currently playing through the first chapter, and I'm very impressed. The graphics, colors, sound effects, music, the story itself... It's really captivating! Congratulations on the idea, and I look forward to your future projects!

Wow!! Really cohesive concept from start to finish, and great job creating some pretty viscerally unpleasant designs. The blowhole and the tapeworm in particular were wonderfully upsetting, huge credit to the artists. The sound design as well really pushed this over the top. Feels very guillermo del toro, or like some strange old stop-motion film, in the best of ways.

Huge congratulations to you all - you should be immensely proud!

thank you! i loved your game as well! I'm glad you enjoyed it-- and having the feeling of Guillermo del Toro is a huge compliment!

The art is beautiful I kept stopping to admire it while playing- and the character design of the whaler oh wow that looks great!

Love the music, especially the one in act 1 that played when I explored the wreckage. I liked the writing style and how it was separated into 4 acts

Your team really came together to make an amazing and atmospheric experience that felt immersive. :)

Very amazing game.

The art is seriously good.  It's very graphic, creepy, and frightening... and that beating heart too (I kinda like that). Mom, I'm scared, pick me up (oh wait).

Developer

lol I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing!

This is pure cinema! This game deserves to become popular. I don’t want to sound generic, but the animation, art, sound, and writing are truly top-notch.

Developer

Thank you so much for the high praise! Truly grateful <3!

The art in this was fantastic! This was great to play through. I won't lie I was a bit dissapointed that (SPOILER) The choice of which part to have eaten didn't affect the game.

But besides that, it was great!.

Lol yea we had more planned, but we were on game jam time haha. Thank you so much!

I played the web build. First of all, I love the art so much, especially the props, there's so many!  I liked looking at all the process art too, thank you for sharing it.  ⸜(。 ˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

While playing I got a small code sequence thing at the top when going through the intestines "libpng error: bad adaptive filter value" but it's nothing serious.

Nice game! ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ )

Hello, another sea related game! Nice game, really liked the worms desing! I've had some issues with skipping dialogues but it's been pretty good.

Developer

Thank you fellow sea-related game maker! Glad you liked it :D
