I really liked all the pixel animations for this game! Also no worries, I had to cut things from my game too due to time. It happens to most of us during a game jam, you still did great work!
Straight to the point plot and goal, although effectively a little walking simulator I enjoyed what this had to offer. Reminded me a lot of the game "One Chance." If you're planning to expand upon this universe/game I'd be interested to see what you do with it! Above all else this is a nice game-jam game and props to you for going solo. Well done :D

For five days you got a lot done, definitely give yourself credit for that! Happy that you gave it a resolution despite running out of time and for working around the gas station regardless of the constraint. The pixel style was fun and the animations were great!
As a fellow sad story enjoyer, I like the plot. Also really like the sprite animation and the humor lol.
Cool one, I loved the animations you made and the humor ! It has a cool Inside (the game) vibe. Unfortunately, I couldn't get any further than the gas station :(

Just making sure so I could fix it, do you remember in what way you couldn't get further? I just yeeted out the html version and I know somethings don't work properly there and I also feared that people might think that the gas station is the end but it is supposed to transition back after a few seconds and continue the game a bit more. Did it not transition back after going into the gas station or something else?
Yeah, if I remember correctly, I heard the SFX talking feedback when I pressed the action key next to the stairs, and the character was blocked for a few seconds, then I could move a bit more the character, pressed action key again, and the same thing again.
I think I will try out the window version today !
I stuck here too at first, feel like the dad is talking something, but there's no dialogue bubble, just the talking sound fx. So I go back to the wooden box and pick up the grain seed in there and now I can proceed to the Gas Station Scene (lol). Hope this help!
Ah thats helps a lot! There should be a small dialog to stop you from without taking the seeds and thats probably broken.
The intro dragged on waaay too long. The animations are fire though, I think that is your strength and you should make games that profit more from your animations. The characters where ok. Congrats on releasing this game!
