Fun game — short but with a cool mechanic idea. Congrats on the project!

If you have a moment, I’d love if you could check out mine too! Play it here: https://kaijota.itch.io/graverun

I love those platforms with eyes, they are cute ;3

Would be nice to have some sort of a restriction (maybe you have limited amount of deaths), otherwise my levels are just a mess of dozens of platforms. Also often I leave the platform to high and cannot jump on it afterwards.

btw in our game we came up with very same idea :)

A really fun simple platform game, ended too soon, would love to see more levels. i also really like the pallets for each death, it helped noob platformer with wide surface. and cute visuals al well :D

This was a really good little game. Well set up player that felt good to play and not too difficult to control or position. Mechanic was simple to understand, and I managed to finish it, so I could call that a win. Awesome work on your first game!

No way this is your first game you are so good :O

Also, reading your comment reply, the concept and idea of this game is so well thought out

thank you so much for the kind words! It was a lot of work but I learned a lot in the process!

Nice one! Clever use with the flying projectiles evolving the mechanic to also involve timing elements!
I was a bit confused by the "line" when hovering above a button being on top. feels like its more common to have it bellow. But other then that I have no notes expect polishing stuff! Keep up the good work :D

Interesting concept. Why does her dying create platforms though? Is her soul made of platforms? I kind of want to know.

It felt like to me this game needed some "Coyote Time" for the jumping so the game would be more forgiving about jumping after leaving a cliff.

Developer

its more of a representation that through her deaths is the only way for her to build a path to freedom. I wish incorporated more of the story aspects so it was explained more but I didn't have enough time unfortunately.

I was looking into how to code something like that. I was very limited by my skills but its definitely something I'll look into! thanks for the feedback!

That was fun. Shame it was so short. I could see it working well with more mechanics

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed it! I know I wish I could’ve got more out of it but unfortunately I only had about 2 days of dev time due to work.

loved the idea! it's super creative and I'm sure this could have so many different uses. I wish our movement felt that tight :(

Developer

thank you for the kind words! I definitely want to revisit the the idea or maybe change it up a bit next time. I’ll check your game out later today!

What an interesting game. The last level was really enjoyable and its cool that you made all assets yourself. Respect.

If you got time, please fell free to check out the game I worked on.

Developer

Making all the assets really gave me a new respect for the amount of time and effort it takes especially for more complex assets.

I’ll check your game out later today!
