Wow this game is so polished! It is very satisfying merging those cards, I think I kept doing it for maybe 10 minutes and got to around 34 species. You've chosen a quite specific slice of a game and done it very well. Very slick :)

This was fun! I don't know why but I find clicker games to be so addictive, maybe because of the exponential growth factor. Was great how you had it all in here, the different stages of evolution, the auto-clicking, critical clicks and also prestiging. Graphics was satisfying too.

Only thing I wish is that it was clearer when I had enough EP to buy the upgrades - if they were greyed out or `opacity=0.5` or something when I couldn't afford them. But still enjoyed the game! Also well done doing all this in 2 hours, wow!

Hi Pikapwner, just wanted to encourage you to make this great game discoverable on Easel so people can find it in the future on Easel's list of games. We always have a some cross-traffic going between Easel games and I think a lot more people would enjoy playing your game!

Wow, this is a great game! I think it'd be really fun in multiplayer. I surprised myself with how easy it was to remember the ninjas and the sequence they appeared. I think it actually helped playing with bots to start with because they showed me how to play without needing an explicit tutorial. Great music, sounds and visuals once again, well done :)

Nice game, I like the concept and I really like the style of everything. Really great incorporating the leaderboards and seeing the ghosts of the other players in the game. Also seems quite polished with being able to purchase costumes, which I gather are just for fun and don't give you any particular advantage in the game?

Great work!

Well done on making this multiplayer game! Reminds me a bit of "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" which is always fun. I opened the game into two tabs so I could give it a test. I admire the creativity, took a while for me to notice all the elements - the sun/moon, the rats with the different symbols, the ghosts that appear, and also the place you can draw at the bottom, very creative. I think generally I am able to finish the cauldron levels, although even with just me I do have to look quite closely to match up the symbols since they are quite similar.

The candle levels I have only managed to complete a couple of times, and I can't figure out if it is because I am doing something wrong. I did notice (after a number of failures) that it said the candles on the left and right hand side switch also, and that helped me succeed twice with the candles, but then I seem to still fail and I'm not exactly sure why yet. I think part of what might help is if I could see the result instead of going directly to the failure message. If I press the wrong candle, they could all switch, including the ones to the left and right, and maybe being able to see it would help me figure out what I have missed.

Anyway, cool idea, I imagine could be a fun multiplayer game!

Hello MasterMelon! Just coming back here to encourage you to make your game discoverable on Easel so that it can appear on Easel's list of games. We always have some cross-traffic between Easel games, especially as new people are discovering Easel every day, and I think more people would enjoy playing your game :)

It's a fun game, even the amount that you have got done it's already quite engaging and I think holds a lot of promise. I could imagine people having a lot of laughs with their friends playing a game like this. It's really good too that you included a bot so people can still experience the game singleplayer. Well done!

Well done on making a multiplayer game! I think there is an interesting idea here, where maybe if I could keep my opponent busy they will never be able to rest and maybe I'll be the only one who can upgrade. I was only just playing against myself in two different tabs though so a bit hard to test. I did get up to the maximum upgrade level and then it was fun to machine gun my enemy down all at once. Because the camera is quite zoomed in I would go right up to them and shoot from point blank range so I could see the bullets land.

Good job figuring out how to code all of this in 7 days!

Hello again! I still think your game is awesome and had fun playing it again today. I think more people would enjoy this game and so I wanted to encourage you to make your game discoverable on Easel so it can appear on Easel's list of games. There is always some cross traffic that goes between Easel games and I'm sure your game could be fun to more people.

There's some information here on how to make your game discoverable: https://easel.games/docs/learn/publishing/discoverability - up to you though, it's your game so you decide! In either case, your game was fun, thanks for trying Easel!

Everyone who reads this, this is actually a browser game that has been uploaded as a file, it is actually available at this link: https://easel.games/@agent0/lazy-robot

To the author: See this page for some tips on uploading Easel games to itch.io https://easel.games/docs/learn/publishing/export#itchio-tips

As for the game itself, this is a fun game! Interesting mechanic having to pick up cookies, manage heat and return items to the bin. I found that on the laundry level I couldn't seem to pick up every cookie on the level, not sure if that's because I'm doing something wrong. Some can definitely be picked up but others I seem to just roll over without anything happening. So I haven't managed to pass the laundry level, but will try again more later. Also the storyline is fun. Well done!

Hello again! I still think your game was great and very polished. I just published a video of it to the Twitter page in case you'd like to see: https://x.com/MadeWithEasel/status/2108852079993425966

I also wanted to encourage you to make your game discoverable on Easel's list of games. There is always some cross traffic between Easel games, and I think more people would enjoy playing it. If you are interested, you should be able to go to the Easel editor, click the cog icon next to your game, then go to the Discoverability tab. Of course, it's entirely up to you if you want to do this or not as it's your game, so either way is fine. Thanks for taking the time to make an Easel game and I hope you consider making more in the future!

Wow, amazing game! I really enjoyed exploring, going into each room and hearing the music. Feels like it could be the setting for a much bigger game if only you had the time. Was relatively easy to complete with all the helpful hints and the nice quest tracker at the top. I also thought your character selection screen was awesome! Great work!

One thing perhaps is I think some of the dark text can be a bit hard to read with the shadows. Maybe you could try `stroke=false` on the dialog boxes that come up when the characters are talking, specifically maybe this line here ui.easel:

P(color=#243e2e, fontSize=1.7, stroke=false) { %(CsText(CsId, CsN)) }

Makes it a lot more readable for me! I realise now that stroke=false is not very well documented in Easel and the documentation doesn't mention that it also removes the shadow, so I can update that!

Great work, beautiful game!

Hi AArchos, this is Ray, the creator of Easel. I'm writing you this message because I would love it if you would consider making this great game discoverable on Easel's list of games: https://easel.games/play

We often have a bit of cross traffic going from one Easel game to the next, and I think people would really enjoy playing your game. If you are interested, you should be able to go to the Easel editor, click the cog icon next to your game, then go to the Discoverability tab. Of course, it's entirely up to you if you want to do this or not as it's your game, but yes your game is one I still think about 2 months later and think people would still enjoy it today. :)

Wow this is a great game! I'm still second on the leaderboard but will keep trying. I only just read the description and saw you get more points if you're close to her, so I'll have to have another go later. I really like all the transitions between the scenes, it's very dynamic, and I especially thought it was a cool moment when the whole scene turned green once I'd reached the second part of the stage. Great work!

Haha, I had to drink 9 beers to get through the night. Nice game, love the hand-drawn graphics, hope it's not based on a true story!

This game is really fun! I'm amazed at the depth, you've got games within games here - was amazed to find the Snake game minigame inside the game! The freeform typing was another "wow" feature for me. I liked how you could step away from the computer and go eat some eggs at the table with your Mom and Dad, and then how they also have a schedule and will be asleep at night. Also cool seeing the visual effects as the toxicity level increases. It took me a few goes but I think I got to the third day. Very cool!

This game looks really really good, possibly the nicest looking Easel game I've ever seen! Original idea, multiplayer looks really fun, looks awesome! I love the intro panel, and all the mechanics, and the way it drops you straight into the action. Really great!

One thing is the game can only run at about 30fps on my computer (I'm on an Apple M1) because sadly the mid-range GPU's texture fill rate is too slow to handle all the 4K subpixels on the display. So the game stutters continually. But I remixed your game and added an option to `Main` so I could drop it down to High resolution which makes it do the 2K pixel resolution (rather than 4K subpixel resolution) and it runs beautifully smoothly at 60 fps:

Toolbar { ResolutionToggle }

I see in the code you're doing quite a lot to push it to Resolution:Max which I understand - it sounds like Easel is auto selecting the wrong resolution for you and so fair enough for you to try to mitigate that. But maybe a toggle might help players like me on lower-spec machines perhaps?

Edit: I just noticed you do have this option under the HELP menu, sorry! I've dropped the World Quality down to High and it works beautifully smoothly  now!

In either case, great work! I'm going to keep playing and might have more feedback after the game jam closes.

Edit: Also think the pairing up from the storm is a cool idea, having to choose to temporarily ally yourself with an enemy, and then the way if there is an odd number of people there will always be someone trying to push people out. Very clever :)

I understand! You did a great job in the time you had available!

Okay I had another go and I caught the Sea Monster, woohoo! I like your new fish too :)

Nice work! Having the hook lines all coming from the top makes it feel more immersive, that was a good idea. Feels like it might be fun to have a leaderboard maybe and see how far people can go without getting caught.

Nice music, satisfying sounds when you click on the fish, and I also like the way the end screen fades in and animates. It is cool that you are getting deeper and deeper and you see the sea get darker. I wish there were more challenge as you get deeper - more/bigger fish perhaps? It could get really frantic once you get really deep where you get to the point where you almost cannot click fast enough, and that would really separate the highest skill players from each other. Also might be fun for the score to be in a unit like meters (or feet) so we feel like we're exploring the ocean. Great work though making the game, it does have a satisfying feel to it!

Quite fun :) I got all the way up to max stats and tried to reel in the Sea Monster but could not manage to catch it. It's interesting how after a while you learn the rhythm of how long you can reel for before you need to stop. Only thing is I wish this game could be played in full screen because on my screen all the itch.io links in the top right "like Submission to Micro Jam 065: Fishing" cover the endurance meter.

Nice work, I scored 56 or so :) Mountains look nice, would look awesome with some parallax clouds maybe.

Looks like a promising game, the fog and the maze did make me want to explore. Wish something happened upon reaching the summit though. With a bit more this could be a really fun game.

Pretty fun, I got to about 512 or so. Graphics look nice and I liked how the background and rock graphics would change. Nice music too. I thought the fog actually did work quite well with the concept as it gives you the additional challenge of trying to see the rock faintly within the fog and responding early.

In case you didn't know, you could make a "Play Again" button like this instead of "Refresh to Play Again" in Easel:

RaisedButton(Main, backgroundColor=Color:Primary) { "Play Again" }

In either case, great job!

This is a cool game, nice idea, satisfying sounds and good colour scheme. I got to around 1200.

I found this game to be pretty addictive :). It was fun building lots of camps then upgrading them. I think in the end my game was hanging because there were so many villagers to simulate, which was cool :)

This is a pretty fun game actually, but I'm not sure how it relates to the prehistoric theme.

Just noting to the judges that this is not actually an Easel game, appears it has been misclassified as one.

The artwork is looks clean and is easy to parse. I like how you spawn an asteroid on top of the dinosaur so the player really does have to keep moving. it's interesting trying to move out into open spaces to maximise your chance of always having somewhere to run to. I haven't been able to make it to the full 60 seconds yet!

Not sure if you intended for the dinosaur to walk upside down as an aesthetic decision, but just in case it helps there is an example here for how to flip your sprite: https://easel.games/docs/examples/flipping - in either case very cool that you took the time to learn Easel for this!

These graphics are really nicely drawn. It was a fun moment when I levelled up for the first time. Cool game, well done!

Wow, this is a unique idea! The music is really good, kept me playing for ages. I would love to see it get more challenging as time goes on. The idea of trying to get a "sync" and lining up all your dinosaurs just right to be able to get a sync is cool, I think we need more chances to be able to do that. Maybe there needs to be some kind of time limit for each round so you can compare your performance against others and/or your past self. In either case, was a fun game :)

Oh yay, this is a very nice compliment and it makes me happy to hear it. I am continually working on Easel and it will keep getting better and better! Thank you for trying it!

I liked all the special abilities that make it interesting! It was cool having it go into ramming mode every now and again to change it up a bit too. Well done!

This is cool :) Like the nostalgic vibes and the textured polygons. I liked the moment when Level 1 ended and then it switched to the sunset level, I was not expecting it and it was cool. I've found it's sometimes better to use the spread shot weapon so I'm not in the firing line of the enemies. I was trying to figure out how to use the dash. It seems that sometimes the enemies have a shield and I need to dash into them, but the rest of the time it is a bad thing to dash into the enemies, so that's what I was trying to do.

Anyway, great work returning to the world of gamejams after a year!

Wow, this is such a good game! The concept, the sound, music, visuals! I like the tension between needing to choose when to boost and not to boost.

Was just checking out how you did this and just in case you didn't know, you can flatten out the `with` block like this in Easel:

with BoostLevel {

        with ViewZoom {

            with OverheatFlashOn {

              with ShakeOffset {

This can be:

with BoostLevel, ViewZoom, OverheatFlashOn, ShakeOffset { }

Really really awesome work!

Cool game! I like the idea of making tag kinetic and having to manage your momentum while playing.

In case it helps, I think it's sometimes easier to implement your settings using the Preferences in Easel which persistently store values. Then you could use Numbers instead of Strings which means you won't have to do all the String to Number conversion that you are doing. But whatever works, you made it work either way, and it's cool!
