a creative idea to the theme, i was on my nerves trying to catch my breath and open my eye, the animation oF the eye is a bit slow so i got caught 1000 times but i really like the whole atmosphere of it. amazing game :D

Unfortunately google chrome won't let me download this and says it detects it as a virus! :(

if you can make a web build I would happily play it! :)

LOVED the concept of this game! Cleverly implements the jam theme and gameplay is intriguing and suspenseful. I do think it's too unforgiving, as it's not always clear when the it's okay to perform certain actions and when it's not. An alert meter that increases rapidly as opposed to instant failure could go a long way towards making the game feel more fair.  Also, a breathing indicator would have been helpful so you can time the rhythm correctly. Overall a very good premise and I would definitely play this again were you to expand it into a more polished experience!

Pretty cool concept, nice settings and mechanics done well, might need more indicator like sounds for when breathing, overall a good game.

I like this one! I think something I would like is a way to know when you're going to get caught, like an audio or visual cue or something like that, because getting caught is still quite scary. Good job with this one, you absolutely did an awesome job with this!

This is a neat concept. I admit, I jumped when I got caught! Hah!

The swap between the eye/breath mechanic and walking around was super clean btw, nicely done!

Thank you!

Very hard. Sound ques for breathing and the dude would be nice.

My first death really scared me lol

Btw, the "BurstDebugInformation_DoNotShip" files are included in the Windows build.

Developer

Ah thanks for the feedback and heads up!

oh, now this is something. That's a neat mechanic system for sure! I was kind of confused on what I was doing at times, but I managed to figure it out. Very tense, good atmosphere. I really hope you continue to work on this after the jam, I would love to come back to this one with some fine tuning!

Thanks for the feedback! We will try our best to update the game, we do want to expand it to a fully thing :)

A really unique game, I like the overall vibe of the game, good job! I really think that the game could use some indicators on interactions and some anticipation would have been nice and a bit of time before they catch (like a false safe). And I think when our eyes are shut if it was a bit low rez or blurry then It would have been awesome.

Great feedback, appreciate it! We realized that the game might be a bit confusing to players without any proper instructions, so we'll be sure to add it and tweak the catch mechanism, eyelids as well. Thanks so much :)

Oh my gosh, you guys did such a good job with the atmosphere and tension. I love how you used the theme as well!

Developer

Thank you so much! Loved your game as well, even though we had such different interpretations :))

I really liked the tension this game managed to create, I got chills right from the first “mistake.”

The breathing/closing-eyes mechanic is simple but super effective at building immersion. The premise fits the theme perfectly and shows a lot of creativity!

Developer

Thanks so much! I liked your game as well :D

Ok first off the idea top PLAY dead is a good idea for the theme. Its nice to see some variety with theme. I didnt get past much, i prob just suck, haha. but it seems like a fine game.

Developer(+1)

we'll try to add indicators and hints to give you a little nudge, be on the lookout for updates :))

I love the tension on this game, got so scared when I died the first time haha! Rated it, I'd love if you rated my game too, I hope you like it! https://fernando-ferreira.itch.io/death

Good game. It was very tense, felt like I had to control my own breathing, so you succeeded.

Developer

Thank you!

Solid game! The premise was interesting, and the mechanics were easy enough to handle. I was not a massive fan of the mouse sensitivity being so low. I had to slide my mouse across the mousepad to turn around cleanly. I guess it makes sense that we suffered a blow to the head, but it made searching the environment while walking more tedious than anything else for me, as I was focusing more on my mouse than the game itself.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! We'll sort that out or consider adding a sensitivity setting for you to tune :))

Awesome concept that fits the theme perfectly. Breathing and keeping your eyes closed is a great concept - if the screen was darker or blurrier when your eyes are closed it might make the player need to open them more, as I found myself just keeping the eyes shut most of the time. Great game overall and a nice use of 3D gameplay; I've been meaning to make more 3D games!

Developer

Thank you so much twiltdesign! We'll handle the squinting mechanism after the vote ends :))

Submitted(+1)

That had some really good tension, and the premise was really unique! The breathing mechanic was a little difficult to grasp initially, and I didn't really have a reason to open my eyes more.  Still, very good job!

Developer (1 edit)

Ah ok I got you buddy. Will keep that in mind after the vote period ends. Thanks!
