Interesting take on the biblical figures and great looking art style, when the artifacts were mentioned I was expecting the spear of Longinus at one point. Unfortunately I was not really hooked by the story. A lot of context is also left out or assumed known by the player, as the rule for how things work in this universe is not explained very well. The concept is cool, but I wish it's a bit more fleshed out.
I also had a small problem with the texts sometimes being skipped (?) I wasn't able to read (maybe I have double clicked to proceed the dialogue?)
Very unique style and story. Every frame is bursting with color
Thanks a lot!! I do enjoy impactful colors, so I'm glad that got to you hahaha
A very fun twist on the mythology, and with extremely cool character design work - almost Hades-like in your treatment of angles and shape language. I'm definitely curious about the rest of the story you mentioned you're developing with these characters - the concept feels strong.
Uuuh, thank you so much for the comment! Made me really happy that the concept works and that the design was so well received <333
It gave me more motivation to continue to invest on it, so thank you!
I liked how you put your own unique spin on these classic mythical figures! The dialogue was really fun and the character design complemented the story. I did wish there was a download option because “Play in Browser” was so wide that it cut out some of the top and bottom on my laptop, so I had to scroll throughout to see the whole thing.
Thanks a lot!! Glad it was entertaining! o//
And yeah, sorry x.x. I had some trouble setting up the UI to better adapt to different screens. I'll try out something for the download option in the future - right now, the build seems to only work when hosted on Itch.io site for some reason, so locally it's failing to fetch something :(
Hey! The art is fantastic!
And concept is really great too — really nice work! I’m looking forward to seeing more of it soon. :)
One small piece of feedback: this project would be amazing with some original music that fits the theme! I hope to hear some added in the future.
Awwn, thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Since I'm mostly acting exclusively as game designer I don't get to do much art, so I appreciate your feedback <33
And yeaaah! I was gonna ask a friend of mine to help me with the music, but things got rushed near the end and we couldn't do it. It'll be added on future updates, for sure!
The character designs are SO good! I love the outfits they're wearing so much and the glowing/fire effects around their eyes? <3 Amazing! They looked wonderful with the backgrounds as well I liked the limited colour pallet you went with :) Overall great job to everyone involved, this game has a good story and was well crafted. :)
Those are such kind words! Thank you so much for commenting - and playing!
It was really fun to design the costumes and characters overall; I ended up learning a lot about color and style too, so it's nice that you enjoyed the work!
And yeah! @houseofoblivion nailed the BGs and @salgadoluca did a great job on the writing!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it <3
