What do you mean the last 2 days only? Very well polished for that short amount of time!
Really great tutorialization especially for a game jam, clearly you have a great designers brain I am impressed! Thanks for making this I thoroughly enjoyed it!
WOOOO! I finally beat one of these dang puzzle games, haha ;p
This was a very charming game with great characters, and incredibly impressive for only being made in 2 days! I really appreciated that the levels built up slowly to introduce each new mechanic, whether it be an attack, a movement, or a new enemy type. I'd love to see more of this kind of game, especially on my phone for a little puzzle on the go! The little death guy is definitely my fav, and also the *dead* dialogue box is hilarious.
Super cute story, I hope to see more from you guys in the future! Great work! <3
I enjoy the simplicity of the game mechanics and the implementation of the theme. If I had one comment that really added a challenge (be it intentional or not) is that the final bosses' movement patterns didn't always match the dial so I had to memorize her movements, yes, but never had an indicator for the following one. Another thing would to make the dialogue manually controlled so your players can have the time to digest what the characters are saying before the move on lol
Otherwise well done for a last minute endeavour :D I had a lot of fun playing it for you!
Tracking patterns was pretty hard at 1st but got easier and that last part man did that take me awhile but it wouldn't be a game if their wasn't challenge. Good Job!
Was pretty confused at the beginning ngl, but honestly the art makes up for it! Really impressive work for just 2 days!
I appreciate the feedback on my game! I will look at your game when I get home!
Very different from a lot of the other games in here. Overall pretty good.
Very interesting mechanic and it's impressive you made that in 2 days!
dude! that a nice Core mechanic you got here man. It took me a little while to understand how the puzzle actually works, but once it clicked, it was pretty clever. With a bit more polish and some audio, this could turn into something really special. Great job, you definitely cooked with this one!
Fun to see a different game mechanic! I don't know how you guys made it in 2 days but you cooked with this one.
This was really awesome for a two day build! I do wish it had a little bit clearer instructions, but overall super great!
This is such a unique concept for a game, and I'm surprised you managed to come up with the idea and executed it all in 2 days. I love the art for the sprites!
I agree with comments that audio/sfx would help this game so much! but I understand prioritising under time pressure :)
this is neat, would love to see a more polished and final version!
GG
I liked the visual of your game. It took time to understand game and flow. or how to play. I wish there was a sound. But overall good entry.
Yeah, we had to prioritize other stuff over sounds, as we were running out of time (we were only working for 2 days of the weekend, not the entire duration of the jam) and didn't have a dedicated person for audio.
The artstyle is what hooked me on this game and im glad i played it as THE GRIM REAPER saying "how will i death? with a opurtunity ofcourse!" was awesome.
Dont know why our guy didnt just whack the old lady with his crowbar though thatd be kinda lame so i get it.
And timing the traps was pretty awesome.
We kinda wanted her to be so rich and obsessed with not dying that she lives in a mansion so secure that even death cannot enter; and she had to be like a boss battle in the end, with multiple stages and overall more dangerous than she appears to be. Plus, the robber is supposed to be hilariously bad at robbing and kinda incapable of killing — which is why he needs the help from Reaper (=
I wish I had better words to express how much I like the puzzle design and find the concept to be extremely clever and fun. The visuals are overall great and I like the games premise of Death aiding and abetting a robber. Super fun!
This is a good idea for a game. I found it a bit hard to learn the cause-and-effect of the lightning bolts at first though. If I understand it correctly, the lightning strikes at the beginning of the next turn before anyone moves, rather than the end of the turn after everyone has moved. Having the time distance between action and effect meant it took a while for me to figure out the mechanic. Good job at making the game ramp up though and introduce the mechanics step-by-step.
Really fun experience and an unexpected yet welcome challenge! Loved it, and would love to see how the gameplay loop can be expanded upon further.
Neat, but clearly missing some sounds
