We'd love some feedback. Let us know how we did :)

Played and rated! I really like the environment and the characters. A little more direction in terms of what to do would be great. Would also love the ability to sprint and go through the text faster. An impressive game for the jam though! Thanks for sharing!

Wait, you couldn't sprint? I do agree about the text, just didn't think about it.

Perhaps I was pressing the wrong button, but I tried the usuals (shift, control, mouse buttons) but they didn’t seem to work for me. Granted I am playing a ton of games right now so I might’ve missed the instruction or just was doing something incorrectly.

That's a strange one. It should've been shift and it's still working for both of us. Sorry you had to slow walk through that whole thing, lol.

Submitted

No worries! Was still a fun play. I really enjoy 3d games in that type of environment so I still was compelled to play through it! Nice work!

I. Loved. Your game!!! Everything about it. Collection, abusing physics, cute simple style, achievements?!?! Wow. Great job, man. Rated!

Thanks for the reach-out post, I appreciate how involved you are with the community! With that, here's the game I worked on ^-^ /jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937688

Played and reviewed! I really like the art aesthetic and concept of your game! And thank you so much! I am really grateful to have worked with an excellent team who really did a great job!

here is my game would love to hear what you think, /jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3935112

Omg I love this game so much! Extremely fun to play! The level design was simple yet elegant, the controls were instantly easy to grasp, I liked the lack of text or an explanation yet it all made sense, and the idea was hilarious! It fits the theme really well too! I may have encountered a small bug where sometimes when you die you instantly die again, but this didn't change the playability at all. Really great work!

Submitted

i am really glad to hear you liked it!!! thank you for bringing that bug to my attention never saw that happening.

Hey Krishnamohan! Looks like your page has been flagged by itch.io for some reason. If you get that issue resolved let me know and I'll come back to play your game!

This isn't mine, but it's a difficult game with a fish protagonist and I thought it was pretty interesting

I played it and had a ton of fun! That's so funny that we both made fish games! I appreciate you sharing some one else's project. This one made my day.

Had a lot of fun with your game! I rated it too! The art style and funny dialogue lines had me hooked from the beginning. Would loved for it to have been longer though! Though I understand that the time constraint added quite a challenge for all of our projects. Great work and thanks for sharing!

If you haven't yet and are keen to check us out, here's our game! /jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3925901

I played and rated your game! Incredible art style, and that grave keeper actually lowkey scared me pretty bad when I realized he was chasing me hahaha. Sometimes the digging mechanic was a little tricky to activate because it seemed you had to be in a very specific spot. Also space bar as the pause button was weird for me because my natural inclination is to press it to jump. Nonetheless I had a lot of fun and it's quite a polished project for such a short amount of time! Congrats!

I played and rated your game! Super creative. I thought at first it would be hard to figure out what to do, but I got the hang of it pretty quick! Those restless nights were very spooky! I like the environment of this game a lot. I think something that would make this game even better would be a brightness slider in the options. At moments it was a little hard to see on my setup. But I found myself playing this one for quite some time! Great job!

Hi! If you have time and like platformers, my submission is a game with a twisted concept about ending your session. It has also some creative meta puzzles:)

I originally left some feedback here, but then deleted it because I realized you weren't the creator! I really appreciate you sharing other peoples work! Especially the one's that go less noticed. It's a fun game and thanks for sharing!

no worries, i'm glad you enjoyed playing it

also I have two more games to add, I'll post them in the main thread

For me you have the best game of the jam its really fun and it just works i  could see it becoming a hit if you keep on expanding it. Id love if you checked out our driving game that we are going to keep on implementing after the jam i think its a pretty good base for a fun game  Rate Charon's Cab Co. by TheTobbs for Jamsepticeye - itch.io

OMG it means so much to me that you think that! I played your game and the  gameplay is really smooth and satisfying! You've really got that driving mechanic dialed in. Super fun to drive around. The art style and sound effects fit the design really well too! Definitely keep working on it. It's a great game!

I played and rated your game! Nice work and use of the theme. Some milestones in the gameplay would be good other than increasing levels as I wasn't sure what I was progressing towards. Was still a ton of fun and a great job! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for taking your time to review games! Here's our game! We underestimated the scope of this game a little bit but we are proud we could still complete most of it and get a submission going. Most things that we planned at the start are implemented but there a few things we would like to improve and add later on after the jam, like more enemies, more weapon types, elemental damage, more levels as well as some bug fixing (for example the waves aren't counting correctly in the UI). Overall we had a lot of fun developing this game (and countless sleepless nights xD).

/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3932400

You control the Messenger of Death and must fight wave after wave of enemies, you can make your journey easier by collecting their souls, which you can use to buy upgrades, such as more attack speed, a better jump, higher critical hit chance and many others. However, you must sacrifice your life to get these upgrades, you'll start from the beginning if you do this, but your upgrades will remain in your next life, giving you a better chance to deal with the waves of enemies.

Hope you enjoy it! We will be reviewing any game that rates us and return the favor. Thank you!

I played and rated your game! It was really fun but I found it to be a challenge (which is good, I think games can be too easy these days)! Perhaps there could be frequent checkpoints though? Also it would make more sense to me that if you die and get power ups, then dying by falling should do the same. Was a very enjoyable play! Reminds me of the days of flash games. Great job!

Submitted

Thank you very much for the feedback , Honestly i didn't even think about it , like if the player falls then he can respawn with the next phase,This makes more sense..Thank you for the suggestion and yeah will certainly work on the checkpoint..Thank you very much it means a lot

I would appreciate if you could Chen my game out! This is my first game so any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I played and rated your game! The movement was very crispy and felt great! And great use of the theme with the level design. Would love more levels! But I know we were all running out of time towards the end of this jam hahaha. Nice work!
