I loved this game, this was a cool experience, like when I looked back and got the cube from the shadow hand + when I looked up and saw the giant hand, this game has some heavy ground work for an amazing and fun game, I truly hope this becomes a full finished project, good job to the devs!

Developer

we're already making plans to continue development, we have tons to work on! thank you for playing :D

Love the Ducky Dev sticky note, lol. I also really like games that have a computer or a terminal where you type in commands, it always feels very cool to me! The lore and gameplay are great, I think you have a really fun and creepy environment that’s perfect for this jam’s theme!

Developer

thank you!

love the aesthetics of the game and the simple movements i felt like a coder doing the commands so thanks for that :> the sound effects really help to make you feel the atmosphere, also i love that you chose the seven deadly sins for this game really interesting . really cool game

i loved the visuals to this!! and the simplicity of the camera controls helped make this more digestable. the sound design really tied everything together. i was a little confused on the order of operations until i refered to the itch page, so maybe something that makes that a little more clear in the gameplay could be handy! the art style was super cool though

Developer(+1)

the info that we posted on the itch page was supposed to be on a clipboard that you could read in game, but we didnt have time to implement it lol. we're going to streamline some things in a future release. thank you for playing!!

Interesting concept — I really liked the game’s idea and the art style, congrats!

really cool game I likes figuring out what to do

Developer

thanks for playing! :)

Was a bit confused on what to do but it's still awesome so far!

Developer

we're planning on addressing some of the confusing parts in a future release, thanks for playing!

This one was super interesting! I actually like that there's no tutorial, because it lets you explore on your own and figure things out. I got stuck for a good 10 minutes at the start before I started playing around more, and I really like that, because it felt super immersive. Good job with this one!

Developer

it means a lot that you continued to play even after being stuck for 10 minutes, lol. thanks for playing!

Really cool idea! I got a bit stuck, but the atmosphere and visuals are fantastic :)

Developer

you're not the only one lol, thanks for playing!!

this has a neat vibe going, but I wasn't able to figure out what I was supposed to be doing, I got a cube and downloaded it and then nothing else seemed to do anything.

it seemed like it could be really neat with a little more time. I like the overall look and feel of the game though

yeah we've had a lot of people say that they were confused, i think we really needed one more day to debug/tweak some things. on the plus side, we're going to continue development soon and we've got lots of great feedback to work with now. thanks for playing!! :)

got me some experimentation to figure out the game loop, and I am not super sure of what was intentional or bug, I purifyied one sucessfuly, one got sent down and I ended up in a (gameover maybe) cool looking page. Loved the visuals! :)

Developer

yeah we wanted to do more to improve the game loop but we ran out of time, we've got lots of ideas planned out to try soon...thanks for playing!

hehehe

Good game! I love the art style and the little hidden details like Jacks Sam and DuckyDevs Duck! Also the sound of typing on the computer is really satisfying to me idk why XD

Developer(+1)

we should probably add a cap to how much you can type on the computer lmao. thanks for playing!

The overall vibe is creepy. I don't know if this was intended, but the music stopped when I turned around & saw the hand reaching me the cube. Felt my heart drop a bit, haha. Well done!!

Developer

the audio seems to be bugged in the export for some reason, im not sure why :( thank you for playing!!

Your game was super cool!!!! The sound that plays when you take the cube from the man scared me xD And of course I had to look when it asked why I wasn't looking X_X Uuuff! Spooky. Loved it. You should totally keep working on the game

we are already making plans to continue development! thanks for playing :)

I digged the overall vibe, it was a bit unclear what my goal was. I purified a soul and tried all commands after that and got stuck. Not sure if anything else was supposed to happen. I like the retro-vibe, but I'd love more creepyness, events and a clearer goal. Good job!

Developer

All of those things were on the todo list but we ran out of time sadly :( thank you for playing!

Love the liminal space theme, it feels dreamy and ominous. Nice colors, and intriguing dialoge/theme. It reminded me of Severance series

Developer

thank you! thats the vibe we were going for :)

You also have a cool halftone dotty thingy shader effect in your game. Awesome!

Developer

thank you! :D

Loved the art style, the mechanics, the console game, and the hand delivering the talismans made me jump the first time I saw it, I thought it was some slenderman, haha.

I'm missing something, why is this artstyle so popular? Like the retro/PS1/VGA style (I don't know its name, but I've seen it in tons of games this jam) is it from like a famous tutorial or somehow easy to implement?

Developer (1 edit)

I think its just a mix of nostalgia and being more eerie/uncanny. I don't know if they're necessarily easier to implement, but it can be easier to get away with laziness since the color banding/dithering will sometimes hide flaws that you would otherwise notice

thank you for playing! :)

Pretty interesting concept, the controls you have works well for the game and i liked the art style.

Developer
