Hey, very cool game! The art and story were super engaging
Really nice, I love seeing the theme taken as not just dying is an opportunity. I'd love to see this expanded and improved, I did feel lost without visual elements to tell me what I could do like move around, I hope you continue after the jam with this!!
That was fun!! awesome game!!
Cute game! I found it really funny that the goldfish was stuck on the mirror haha. I got a bit stuck after finding the teddy bear, no more dialogue or anything so I've quit out for now - but happy to check back in with it if it's something dumb I'm missing!
Oh yeah, you should try to look around for this heart and sew it up! I apologize since it wasn't that clear! Glad you were enjoying it!
Ahh that makes some sense! I thought since it was placed back on the desk I'd completed the task so I wasn't sure what to do next haha. Will give it another go!
I really liked to play in this one yesterday! Very cool story and message, also just fun to play!
Thank you ~
Thank you so much! I really really enjoyed your game so this means a lot to me! Thank you for playing!
such a sweet wholesome game, made me tear a bit, i love this take on the theme. i really liked the ending music, and the art is just so adorable 10/10 LOVELY GAME
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Enjoy the rest of the jam!
Very neat, I thought this was pretty wholesome, and subtly sends a very nice message, and I like the Jacksepticeye jar, whooshed a few times. (now that I think about it, I could've made my jacksepticeye reference do the same)
Overall, great work!
Glad you enjoyed it! Your narrative really caught my eye so I'm glad you liked our story! Also my Dev leader was the one who had the idea for the jar lol
It's a kind of cozy game in a way. I haven't played a clicker game in a while so that was neat. Nice art :)
Cozy was definitely what we were going for! Glad you liked the art as well!
A cute sweet game about reformation! Loved the little jacksepticeye reference, the sound and music was really enjoyable and the art was cute. Quite a relaxing game indeed!
I typically am not one to yearn for the sit back R&R type games, but this was pleasant. Game dev the past week has been super hectic, so it was nice to have a break from that. One thing I think this could benefit from is a quest system maybe? That's just personal preference though. All around really solid.
Yeah I will say the item search can be a bit confusing, but I'm glad you enjoyed it! You all worked really hard this past week so I'm glad you can relax with our game! Thanks for playing!
This game gave me Cube Escape Collection vibes!!! I love these kinds of games (general puzzle/escape room esque). The style is really cute and I love the sudden switches between tones, be it Death's tone with their demands or the colours! Really fun. I also loved the JSE easter egg. I clicked that way too much XD
As for my one thing I hope for a more polished build, I think a cursor UI when you hover over something interactable can really change the feel of this game. A lot of the times I found myself clicking around everywhere to see if there would be any response until I would pick up items. Otherwise the story was cute (the fishy is saved!!) and I had a good time :) congrats on your game!!!
Really enjoyed this puzzle style spot the difference type game and it has a lovely style to it!
Oooo, This is the first clicker game I've played on the Jam,The writing and hand crafted art style was a pleasant change and they fit the gameplay style perfectly but there were parts where I was a bit confused and thinking "has the game bugged out?" where you find certain things and you'd think the game should progress but its not such as the Teddy bear part, once you find the teddy bear there should be some sort of box at perhaps the top left which shows the outline of the teddy bear, then the heart and other items that are required for that particular part of the level, Just gives the player a bit of a heads up like saying "hey! you need to find X, Y & Z to move on" as there also isn't a highlighted cursor to show the player what is and what isn't clickable, although I also guess that's apart of the game design itself so its not too easy, So I understand that if that was a design choice!
Overall It was satisfying when you do progress to the next stage! Very well made and even though I didn't finish it as I got stuck I enjoyed what I did play!
Perspective from a game-tester and user-experience designer.
Pleasant game, my favorite aspect was the soundtrack. The dialog was also well-written and made it about the theme of the GameJam. When clicking through, not immediately clear what was clickable, definitely didn't know that I needed to grab things in a specific order. Missed when I picked some things up even; however, this could be because I had my attention divided while streaming. Overall it was a pleasant little point-and-click system and I miss those types of games,
Thank you so much for the feedback! We will definitely take this into consideration and hopefully learn from this jam in the future! Thank you for playing!
very cute and wholesome! I love this kind of story!
I'm glad people are taking this theme is all kinds of directions, its really neat to see.
GG
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you loved the story! Your narrative was very well done so that means a lot!
Really love the story !here and it's supporting elements, the music is lovely and the dialogue is really well written? Suuuper impressive and great submission!
Very impressed by how moving this was with such simple elements. The art and dialogue are great, and the music seriously elevates the both melancholy and heartwarming tone set by the rest of the game. I especially loved the ending screen and dialogue. Lovely entry <3
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Those were definitely the tones we were going for! Thank you for playing!
this was SO cute!!! i loved this and i loved the fact that it was like a little therapy session for the dammed. the art style was super cute and friendly and it was almost nostalgic for me! i loved sharing a slice with death :3 thank you for this wonderful entry
Thank you so much! That really means a lot! I hope to see more from your game in the future!
Super touching little game, one of those that makes you regret not being able to give a "writing" rating.
Although it's pretty short you've really managed to pull my heartstring. I love your style and the music tied everything together.
Really nice entry.
Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the story!
The art was beautiful. I really enjoyed it!
Hey great story! Really enjoyed the narrative. Art was impressive. Excellent entry! Good ending.
