That was quite an interesting take on the theme. I liked it, but the layout confused me a bit (despite enjoying the art style). I didn't always know where I could go or what the area was (i.e. "I guess this is a port?"). I also wasn't entirely sure what to take pictures of. I was under the impression that I had to take pictures of dead bodies, but for the most I took pictures of people that I was pretty sure were alive and only came across two strange things. Overall, though, this was cool!
dude this is so beautiful,I enjoyed talking to all the people and finding stuff
beautiful work, great game
death is an opportunity, to get the money winner shots (and unravel a story)
Hey its me, the guy who made the art for spikes and switches. Thanks for rating our game!
I absolutely love the visuals to this game. Also using the timer as a mechanic is also pretty cool even if it is kind of confusing. Not really any negatives I could say other than it's a bit confusing, this is overall a pretty good game.
I loved the atari/amiga style, super fun, I actually found all bodies and escaped, yeah! fun game and well used theme for the jam! Good job!!
The constant clicking killed my fingers. It was a super fun game though!! I enjoyed trying to find all of the bodies!
Loved the minimalistic artstyle and CRT Style monitor. I unfortunately wasn't able to find all bodies (looking at the comments, I missed one body). Gonna try a few other game and will eventually come back some time later. Well done!
A very unique puzzle game with a very funky art style. unfortunately i was unable to beat it maybe because im trying to play really late at night or im not the brightest individual however the game as a whole is great!! keep up the great work!!!
SUPER UNIQUE GAMEPLAY! I love that your time is limited and based off how much you move.
Shaders are reaaallly cool too along with the lighting. Good work!
The fog, the vignette and the reflective ground make a really great atmosphere. The first playthrough I found no bodies but I did find the crimescene which taught me where to look in my second playthrough. That clue was well done and I was hoping to find more using similar logic. I liked that everyone was hinting at a few places to look but I just couldn't figure it all out and ended up feeling a bit dissatisfied. I kind of wanted to just wind the clock back to particular times instead of having to restart the level to find the things I missed. In effect, the game is kind of like a search through both space and time, but hiding things in the time dimension takes a lot of the player's time too and it ends up feeling tedious going over the city and seeing the same things. I think there is a gem of an idea where clues are left behind at later times that you can go back and find at earlier times in another playthrough, just wanted to it to be easier to go back. Great work!
Hey! Thanks for the thoughtful comment! I agree, it's not the most fun to play. I planned on having a mechanic that allows you to go forward in time, but honestly, your idea is better with rewinding time. Also, I was afraid first playthroughs would result in no bodies found, lol. Shoulda made one very obvious. But thank you for trying it!
I loooove the visuals! It's like I'm playing on a CRT and I dig it. I also just love the visuals and vibe overall. Very spooky and mysterious. I really wanna know more!
the idea is really cool! I liked having to find out what time things were going to happen and plan my route. The "tutorial" is really well implemented. I like that there's no text block necessary. NPC's give you the info. Very good. **chef's kiss**
I also appreciate small details like: stepping into a wall. I can see triggers npc movement but does not waste any of my time.
I'm curious if I found all the bodies and solved it correctly. I found 3 bodies and had enough pictures left over to just spam and make enough money to leave. Was there more and I accidentally cheated and missed part of the puzzle? lol
Oh hey! It's exciting to know someone found all of the bodies! Yeah, 3 was all I had time to implement. And yes, it's designed so you gotta take 1 or 2 pictures for the final amount of money.
glad to know I found them all. Sad to know there's no more to find :( haha
The visuals are really nice here, and the use of the theme is super creative, good job!
Thank you! Also, Mourning Wood was very creative and fun too!
