Description
I really loved the painting. In my mind the painting is of a woman leaving a dance one evening for some fresh air and seeing the first signs of spring. It still is a bit cold outside and maybe snow will fall one more time, but the first flowers are in full bloom and spring is coming.
Lessons Learned
I knew I wanted to make something in 3/4 time since I haven't really made any tracks with odd time-signatures.
I recorded myself humming the melody which was easier for me at this point than figuring it out on keyboard.
Need to get better at creating some interesting movement in the piece, right now it is pretty repetitive even though it's so short, but I think I managed to vary it up a bit.
Where did you source your cover art?
It's a watercolor painting I did some time I ago. More summer than spring but I felt it fit the mood.

Those reversed, swirling sounds in the beginning were really cool and I really love all the space you're creating in this piece. Nice work
Sweet and gentle piece. I like the arrangement overall it fits really well with the theme. Things to look for is quantization on most of your notes, sometimes it can sound more robotic than human if you quantize too much. Also mix volume, its nice that you left some headroom but you can crank up on the mastering to get a nice tone and volume bump.
Hey Hyberbolero, I love this. You did a very good job! And I love that you started it by humming and then going to the keyboard. I really like your description of your theme! (I forgot to make one lol) 3/4 timing is very good, especially for dance like themes. It is actually the timing I used on my submission haha.
Very good song you have here. It flows well and your mixing is good too. Its not to loud or quiet. Just perfect. Solid work here.
