UPDATE: it is not effectively dead at all. if you join the visustella discord, you can see that they are updating it as much as possible, and i know this because i'm on it. there are a lot of bugs they are trying to fix. they've gotten most of it done, but they have to keep delaying it because of the boatload of bugs they encounter.
so no, it's not effectively dead. they've just been having a lot of problems with it. it's better that we wait patiently instead of using a version 2 that is ultra-buggy, which would turn out far worse than them having to keep delaying it for so long.
i've been waiting extremely long for version 2 as well, and i want them to release it SO BAD, but visustella are a very small team of 3 people (yanfly left a while back), so we should really cut them some slack and be patient, because like i said, there are a lot of bugs they are trying to fix.
and to visustella: i know you are a small team, so take all the time you need. i know you have other things besides the character generator. i cannot thank you enough for all the rpg maker plugins as well. keep up the good work.
