Sound didn't work for me and I could not fullscreen it but its a fantastic concept and pretty great execution, great work!

The story was incredible! The sound effects really helped sell the analog horror aspect. The glitches at the end thoroughly freaked me out.

Amazing work guys!

This was really clever! The artwork is great and I love that unsettling droning in the background. I was thoroughly hooked into the story and even though I knew where it was probably going to go, I was really curious how it was going to get there and it didn't disappoint! Really the only criticism I have is that I would have loved a full screen option to see the game a bit closer and without the white background. Zooming the page fixed that though so it's a very minor issue. I'd be really interested if you ever wanted to expand the concept with more characters.

Excellent use of switching perspectives! The figures reminded me of that one Disney Infinity era which is really cool! I like how the whole game remained unsettling without completely dousing it in jumpscares!

Can’t wait to see more <3

Really cool game, I admire your work on art and story!

Great job and congratulations on your submission!

Really good concept, I'm surprised a toys-to-life mascot horror hasn't been touched on yet. I will say, the fact that the only sounds were crt droning and the occasional static got really repetitive, some music to help sell the game's existence within the world would've  done wonders

Interesting idea. Unfortunately, the game froze on me after answering near the blossoming tree.

Is there a way how to make the text go faster?
Btw the white background color on the page versus the dark room in the game is killing my eyes :(

Sorry to hear that! That is 100% something we will look in to.

I feel like this really hit the horror mark for me. It built at almost the perfect pace, going from unsettling to uncomfortable to starting to question myself at the perfect rate and im really glad you managed to complete the full story/game in the jam. I feel like you really explored with and delivered horror without relying on stereotypes or jump scares. There were so many little uncomfortable bits that forced you to just feel a little off or think about somethign uncomfortable without being too direct with the player.

The art was a joy, it was coherant and the asthetic was absolutley nailed for what the game was trying to do. The 3d atmosphere felt right and had some nice touches (especially  the head falling off) and did a good job of not working against the game but creating a distinct sense of differtentness, like it was clear it was the 'real world'. The 2s art was great with the main character being super expressive and having bundles of personality through many differnt channels from the vfx to tthe writing. The background were also good and really consistent for selling this feeling of being stuck in a game world.

The music was a little weak i think. The drone was unsettling but without much else to contrast it was a little distracting. The beeping when there was an error was super loud, which did alarm me, but then annoyed me 😅.

My biggest critisism was not being able to skip the text (like being able to skip the animating in) or speed it up in anyway. I know it creates a slow burn but i was finding myself becoming impatient and being a little less immersed because i was waiting to be able to continue. but i think in the grand sceme of things thats a pretty impressive thing to be the issue in a game jam game.

Overall i think the concept was really strong and amazingly well executed to get it all together for the jam! really creative, intriguing and fun. congrats and thankyou!

its rare to get a full game in this jam and i really appreciate this is self-contained with all the backstory and strong buildup. the head popping off is such a great moment, the scenes and character design are really good, i love how horror games are mixing 2d and 3d and however simple im glad it was utilized and felt necessary here

Thanks you! This was our first game so there was a lot of toying around with what we felt worked, but I'm glad we ended up with something people enjoy!

I have an interesting experience, like from the PC-98's visual novel. Seems to be cute, but turns dark real quick, but it's a little horror-focused at all. It wasn't horror enough, but it was a sufficient thriller. Could've added the skip button if I were you.

Cute art, the pacing is a bit slow. But the art is really nice.

Very interesting concept. When I picked up Ronin and saw the thing rolling away I had that same feeling you get when you spilled the milk.

This was a really interesting concept, and I liked how the figures tied into the story. I definitely wish there was a bit more interaction with the portal (I kept trying to look for points where I could move away from the game while she was talking to see if there were hidden interactions or endings, but it became clear there were none. I also wish there were sound effects and a way to instantly fill the text box rather than having to watch it scroll, but the lack of audio really made the end of the game eerie, so it kind of added to the experience after a bit. Great job!

Thanks for the feedback! We wanted to do so much more with the portal, but with being new to unity, and an approaching deadline, we tried to keep the scope small and not get carried away. Glad you enjoyed!

Cute little game! A virtual toys-to-life game is a fun concept, and you did a good job tying it in with the rest of the narrative. I think a touch more polish (particularly some simple sound effects and music) could really make this game sing, but I still really enjoyed playing
