First of all, congrats from a fellow Bitsy-maker for making the only Bitsy game for this game jam!

Second, the spritework is amazing! I also admire the creative use of 'close-ups' and room montage. I enjoyed putting the story together through this jigsaw-like narrative, which is quite an achievement.

Third, I liked the story about the artist making herself into an art object; the notion is something horrifying and sublime at the same time. I'm not sure about the twist that story pulls off, though, when at first the narrative suggests that the killing was an act of misogynistic violence, and then reframes it to be the woman's desire. I'm not quite sure how to put it, but it just feels inappropriate due to how these situations typically unfold in reality.

But this is my only nitpick, otherwise I think the game is excellent! Thank you for creating it and sharing it with us.

Exceptional, a must-play game in the jam

A real master-class in story-telling Manages to say a lot with very little – both words and technical features. Loved the re-framing of the “Don’t force my hand” dialogue.

I’ve messed around with bitly enough to know its limitations and it’s impressive what you’ve created within them. I’m pretty sure it can do sound/music, right?

This is so unique, so impressive how much you can tell with this few pixels. Beautiful pixel art, great storytelling. I wish there was some audio, but excellent either way. Loved this, congrats <3

Excellent pico-8 horror. Loved how little you needed to make every scene transition unnerving, and the story haunting. The "finish the masterpiece" ending is something to be proud of. This is a genuine chunk of gothic horror. Great job.

Really creative entry! Congrats!

Super cool experience!

I’m missing some music and sound but no complaints otherwise

What an amazing entry! I really loved it, the asthetic is absolutely stunning!

Such a unique entry. Definitely one of the best games I saw as entry for this jam. Writing and story are fantastic!

This was really cool!  The limited palette added to the unnerving nature of the story's presentation, and re-telling the events in a non-linear fashion made it fun to learn what was really happening underneath everything.  I really, really wish it were longer to pace out the story a little better, and adding audio would be the real cherry on top.
Overall, excellent game!

I'd play it as a full, much longer game! The atmosphere was amazing, eerie, creepy, mysterious... I loved the story and the way it was presented, jumping in time, overlaping past scenes with autopsy-like segments... Amazing. Usage of colours is also amazing - very limited palette, 3 colours on screen at the same time, tops, but everything was clear and I didnt feel lost at any moment of gameplay. Very well done!

Exceptional gothic horror, I wish there was more of it!

Very cool idea. I didn't understand the story that well but it was fun to playthrough and see all the art.

Beautiful art and a really cool idea!
I never would’ve thought of using drawing or surgery mechanics in such an interesting way.

Even though I tend to avoid all pixelart this one called me first by the cover picture and then by the title itself.  Oh boy what a good decision it was to play it. Short and simple and yet I did feel myself get emotional. Absolutely stunning. One of my favourites I've stumbled upon so far during this game jam.
Keep up the good work!

I AM SPEECHLESS, the storytelling in this game is absolutely stunning, loved the cuts and unconventional non-linear timeline it was told in, would LOVE to see this story explored more !! Was not expecting this to be quite as gutting as it was, but I think I genuinely held my breathe

amazing game loved every second !!

omg! Such a cool concept and the pixel art is really cool! I just miss some sound effects and background music. I think it would add a lot to it! But good job!

Very interesting stylistically, but the lack of sound design makes it a bit hard to get into
