I liked the final mechanic 😉.
I agree with the previous comment, the game has good Metroidvania potential.
Feels like a missed chance to make a spooky-themed metroidvania, the only bit in which we got to use out new abilities in an earlier are was the best part.
Kamdy :)
That's a clever little mechanical twist there, with the game looping back in on itself and all.
Small and with fun mechanics, I like it, but I won't deny that it was missing some sounds like the jump sound.
The game though pretty simple slowly unveils it's layered mechanics, being surprised by the ability to wall jump, and slowly moving to a territory that feels heavily inspired by Celeste. My really only issue is that the level design doesn't seem to allow the mechanics to shine, it feels like repetitiveness and length were prioritised over well thought out platforming and challenges, for example the giant wall you have to climb to spamming wall jumping.
The music at first sort of cute started to get pretty repetitive towards the end, and overall the game could've used some sound design. The game look and mechanics have potential, it just needs better content and a bit more polish.
The background music sounds like morse code.
Very smooth experience. Controls seem bad, though, but I know it is a 1-bit pixel, but don't count on it.
I liked the art and vibe, and the movement felt smooth, but the controls were too akward for me personally.
Nice little enjoyable game :D
Beautiful and really engaging! The animations and tutorial are very well done. It was a bit tricky to hit the crab wires at first, and sometimes the attack cancels when they touch the collider — but overall, great work!
This is really cool! The platformer movement feels nice and I like the retro visuals.
Some more sound effects would definitely make this game cooler though, and maybe some secrets you can get for going on a different path? Either way this seems like a great prototype if you want to extend on this game!
