I like the mechanics and aesthetics really got me. Good one and lastly Run Teto run!

I wasn’t expecting to play as Teto, that was a fun surprise! This is an interesting parkour-style platformer. The time-slow mechanic adds a nice layer of strategy and helps balance out the challenge, making tough jumps feel fair while still rewarding skillful timing. Cool concept overall!

I enjoyed playing this, but i was also really bad at it. I like the slowing down time mechanic, thats creative, and I like the settings, it could just do with a restart button as I fell off twice and didnt geta  game over screen. Awesome job though!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for giving it a chance! The player is actually supposed to die when reaching a negative value of around -50 y but somehow it is not consistent? I should have done it with more checks.

Also you can actually restart with R!

Thanks for reviewing it again C:

This isn't my type of game, but I liked the art. You're very talented. The controls are what they are, but the overall brightness needs to be higher. All the best.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, it really helps :) I am just trying different type of games to see what I am good at and what is fun to develop. This game also made me realize how absurdly bright my own screen is :D

Fun running game! I got around 64 points, but that's possible because the angel is already ahead of me and I can just run around without worrying about them. Anyway, still an enjoyable game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Just a question, how did you manage to stay behind the angel without dying? I am trying to reproduce the bug as this is the second time I see this issue. Kinda game breaking isnt it :D

It's at the spiral stairwell. The angel will float above me, so if I let them pass while I stay at the ground floor, they won't lower themselves to touch me, iirc that is.

Run Teto Run!!!! Really Fun Movement, Albeit A Bit Janky. Great Job!

Developer

Thanks for giving it a chance! You are right, the movement can be definitely polished more.

Well done, the map can get a bit buggy, and I was able to just go around the spiral towers and walk on air so you might have some invisible blocks in a couple areas. I was also able to hide from the angel so then I just followed after him and kept picking up points, was able to clear 200 before I quit.
You did a good job here, if you want to try working in unreal I'd love to team up.

Developer

Thanks for the review!

Yeah there is an invisible barrier between the end of the spiral room and the spiral itself and the collision is actually wider than the barrier to prevent the player from just jumping from the edge to the other side. that being said, you can still wall run and still somehow get to the other side but it is much harder since you do not know exactly where the invisible collision ends and cycling between wallrun - jump without falling down makes it a bit harder too i think. That being said, the invisible collision should have an exception to block the wallrun. (I hope you meant that with invisible blocks?)

You are too sneaky for the angel :D, I should have spent more time for the AI of the angel to avoid such bugs. I do not know how to hide from it myself but I can imagine someone running into this issue since the angel is not smart at all.

Thanks for the excellent playtesting and bug finding, I really appreciate it! Also I would like to have contact, you can add me on discord if it works for you? #lucresian

Run Teto, run! My highest score was 86 lol. I like the aesthetics and the biblically-accurate angel. Reminds me of the insane dreams I would have.

Developer

I am glad you enjoyed c: thanks for the review!

I love myself some biblically accurate angels xD

The story introduction in the beginning was actually kinda cool for how short it was, mostly due to the visual effects. I also liked the sound design and music mixed together with the visual aesthetic. Everything blends together nicely.

I did have a little bit of a problem with some of the generated parkours. The spiral staircases were actually really cool and with a bit of practice could be traversed pretty consistently. But the huge bars that would be in the players path were really hard to jump over from a distance without running into them first. I would have maybe liked a stage between walking and full out sprinting to be able to navigate these bars and also the platforms better. But then again it was also a nice part of the challenge that you really had to toggle shift a lot of times in quick succession to get the exact speed you wanted.

Overall a really nice game with a cool vibe. I definitely see a lot of potential if you'd choose to polish this game some more :)

Developer

I appreciate the long feedback c: thanks a lot!

Glad you liked the intro! As for the room with the huge bars, I tried to stop the player from running all the time since it would make the walking mechanic obsolete if you could run all the time but I see how it is rather frustrating than making it fun to switch from running to walking. You can kinda skip those bars if you time the jump + wallrun right to go over them but I should have put more time to design the rooms.

Thanks again for giving a shot!

I love the music you used to set the mood, it gives it that epic tone.

Happy you liked it :)

It's a nice dungeon runner, like temple run. Thesound and music is really good, but the game turned out a tiny bit too "dark". It's not even that the colors are too dark, but the contrast between the colors is not very strong. It makes it really hard to see where you would fall down and where you have to jump.

I like the idea of the spiral, you have to go up. The monster doesn't follow your path, but goes straight after you, turning the spiral into a really nice skill check. It forces you to build up distance to the monster, to have enough time to climb the spiral, meaning that you are under tension, even if the monster is quit a bit behind you. Thats a problem many other games likes this suffer from.

The game still needs some clean up work, but it definitly shows innovation and new ideas to an older genre.

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I made it so you can adjust the brightness of the game but contrast is a good point, should check it next time. I can see how it makes it frustrating.

And yeah every room has a different completion speed, the spiral is probably the slowest one but if you can get the turning and camera just right (which makes you keep the running velocity while climbing), it becomes the second fastest room to complete, glad you went into details :) Thanks for giving my game a chance!

Very thrilling game! Loved the OST, every round fight like a run or die situation. I did think that sometimes it was hard to see what was ahead without slowing down completely but still had a lot of fun!

Developer

I appreciate it for giving my game a try :) I can see your point with the view. I tried it the game on a different device and I think my own monitor is a bit too bright :D Thanks again for the feedback!
