Great work. I enjoyed playing the game, especially after collecting all the candies when lots of skeletons chased me on the way back to the TV. That was intense. Well done.

this wasa cool experience with a lot of well thought out mecanics, over all it seems lie you put a lot of effort into this. good work

Thank you!

Really cool twist in your game — switching between play-and-pause states gave it a neat layer of strategy and tension. I ran into a bug where when I paused and unpaused quickly the ghost would spawn inside the furniture and block my path, which broke the flow a bit. One suggestion: maybe add a short “fade-in” or audio cue when resuming so the transition feels smoother and players aren’t caught off-guard by immediate danger.
If you’ve got a moment, I’d love it if you checked out my game and dropped a rating: /jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3971977

— thanks so much and best of luck in the jam! 🎃

Great visuals, and First person implementation was great.  Just read you could atack - Completed it just dodging. Great entry.

Developer

Thank you! I have learned that I need to make weapon pickups more obvious in future as you are not the only person who didn't know you could attack, appreciate the feedback!

Oh, reading the other comments... I completely missed that you can attack the undead? I actually dodged right through the level and returned home with 66 B-)

At the beginning I had a bug that I couldn't turn around 360°, but after some time it disappeared. Couldn't reproduce it later. Nice game

Developer

Thanks for checking it out, not realising you can attack seems to have been an issue for a few people, thanks for letting me know, next time I'll make efforts to make it a little more clear where the weapon pickup is, really appreciate the feedback!

Really solid game for a first game jam! Good use of the assets. Really nice lighting and VFX.

It was impossible to find the attack button on the controller, and it was really hard to attack and also dodge attacks so I never beat the end boss.

I did get 66 candy, so that was satisfying! Nice job!

Thank you!
Oh dang sorry about the controller issue, testing that completely slipped my mind, it should have been right trigger for attack and then blocking right bumper. Noted that I need to do controller testing next time thank you for that info!

Nice work! Got a lot done in a short time. Love that you got through a complete game loop.  I was able to hide in the hut behind the dude with the axe :D

Developer

Thank you, much appreciated!

I really enjoyed this submission, out of the handful I've tried so far it is definitely my favourite. What I liked most was the environment/atmosphere of the game. There is an abundance of candy to collect so I don't think many people will struggle to escape/win- of course there's nothing to say that the game needed to be difficult!

We are also advised not to eat too much candy or we will get sick - I at first thought this meant I should avoid eating candy at all but it seems to just be a little comment/joke rather than being a game mechanic? P.S I really like the pixelated look in the web build!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!

The getting sick comment was actually meant to be a game mechanic where if you eat too much candy in a short span of time you would get some sort of debuff (was thinking camera wobbly and slower attacks etc) but I didn't get enough time to create that unfortunately.
