itch.io

Nice job.  Everything is clean and clear, All seems to work perfectly. Even though I did a match game last time I still suck at them.  I finally got lucky the last round and figured out where the guest was, but I couldn't help myself and clicked on it :D

I was too busy to enter this one this time, maybe next year. Good luck, nice entry!

Best guess is you needed a 2 sided poly - your normals were pointing out on right side, and in (disappearing your tex) on flipping 180 to left.

Your download was actually 299 on my machine, but even that for a game jam is pretty hefty. I switched to Godot to do some jams, and even though I LOVE UE, Godot is growing on me, particularly for small projects and game jams. 3D is also very doable, which surprised me.

Anyway, nice job, project was fun.

Nice job. I've played around a bit with 2D in UE, it's doable, but the biggest downside is the file size. Even with plugin optimization it's tough to get the size down to a reasonable level.

Just out of curiosity, what problem were you having with the parallax? Were you trying to do the pixel perfect technique with an orthogonal camera? I usually throw all that out the window and use a normal camera and z space.

unfortunately didn't get to this during the jam.

Love the plushies in the stockade :D Music and lighting are perfect against the cute squeaking. I wasn't quite sure what the slow walk was supposed to do. Did it give you extra steps without squeaking?

Never made it past the first dude, but excellent game! Loved the suspense and humor.

Thanks for trying it out!
That's a new one on me, do you mean gravity wasn't on for the player?

lol-that all depends on you!

Thanks for trying it out!

Just letting you know. Was able to play PC version on emulator just fine. Fun game :D

Awesome! After messing with Vehicle Body I thought about going ray cast route, but had already wasted enough time. You did an excellent job putting that all together. And all the upgrades felt really good. You could feel each one.

yeah, I found a couple different ways in, I love how much thought you put into this.

Great work, I loved sneaking around and exploring. Got caught every time, but kept making it further. Only a matter of time before I pull this thing off. I have to wonder why this government lets me out of jail so quickly, they have to know I'm just going to try to rob them again...

Really great work! Looks and sounds awesome, gameplay (except for inverted camera) also fantastic. Great having objectives, very well done!

Yes, I didn't even notice them this time (which is perfect). I always hate looking for audio on a time crunch, and I always regret it if I don't change something that's off :D Congrats again, beautiful work!

Fantastic work! It feels like you used the Godot Vehicle nodes. I tried them out on mine but it didn't feel right - they feel perfect on yours. Love the upgrades but wish they were a bit more affordable for the jam, but was nice progression if you were doing this for say a Steam game. Chase mechanic and NPC AI were great. Police scanner was a godsend :D

Really nice job!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

burrrrp. Great game, very fun.  loved the audio and controls.

Loved the atmosphere and audio. Great take on hide and seek. Would love to have some sort of UI to see what was intractable, and maybe a countdown to know when to hide.

Are you supposed to move around at night to different spots? I stayed put and got eaten every time. I do taste good, so couldn't be helped.

Great job!

Nice puzzle game. Probably could have hit the theme a bit better.

Loved it. Fantastic that you got multiplayer working, totally love the chaos. Took me a minute to figure out the controls (maybe an on screen cheat sheet that can be hidden when not needed?). Great job.

Nice idea. Found the turning a bit crazy and couldn't figure out where I was. Was there a mouse camera that I was just missing? Anyway, fun idea, has a lot of potential.

Thanks! That's the plan, more power ups, cut scenes (who doesn't love crying kids?) etc.

That's hilarious about the bus, I didn't even think of that :D

lol - those mushrooms! Controls could use some love but overall nice production. Love the narrative and audio. Day/night was nice as well. Great job!

Great work for a rush job! Was fun and funny. Loved the camera movement. I never made it out, I was too tasty :D

Reminds me of the Simpsons treehouse of Horror episode where Homer's head gets turned into a donut. "I can't stip picking at myself, I'm too tasty" :D

Thanks for playing! I agree, lots of stuff to tune and add, but I think a decent base. I want even more chaos, bwhahahaa!

Nice work on the level layout, look and audio. Also great work stashing signs, hiding relics etc. And I liked the hide mechanic. That big pink ogre was scary. I do have to admit, I couldn't help but throw myself into the dark abyss :D Respawn worked great.

Mac build says "Cannot be opened". (It's not the privacy/security thing - it doesn't show up there).

HBD Synty!

Love the aim control and look. Wish the player controller was a bit more refined, was very unresponsive and got hung up on collisions a lot. Overall nice job!

yeah, died like 20 times on check #2, just couldn't get the right sprint timing. Will definitely try again when this is over. Again great job.

I'm glad you got it sorted! Thanks for giving it another go! Once you get a couple bolts it's too easy, definitely needs some balancing. I will probably flesh it out more next week. But it's also fun to zoom around and create havoc. Glad you had fun!

Framerate was fine, very smooth in my runs, good work.

Nicely done! Not a huge fan of the controls, my little pea brain hates inverted, but I got used to it after a few tries. Would have loved to have had camera control so I could aim where I'm going. Loved the slippy car though, that was fun. Art/audio is great too. If you ever get around to balancing this, maybe fewer cops at the beginning so you can get used to the controls and get a feel for everything before the sh*t hits the fan :D

Great job, you got a ton done in such a short time!

Oh haha - yeah, never fixed that :D When I played with controller I did that all the time! Thanks for the feedback! By weird coincidence your game was the next on my list to play, had downloaded last night, loading it up now.

Thanks for playing!

I had actually fixed the stacking on the player with another collider, but it was messing with the pickups and last minute fix didn't work. I definitely wanted the popo to stack, as much mayhem as possible! Glad you enjoyed it!

Do you remember where you were able to slip through? I thought I had fixed all the collision, but I guess not :D

Oh one last thing I forgot to mention that would be helpful - the slots are REALLY hard to see if occupied or not. I would either fix the lighting so you can see edges, or maybe change the material on the CPU - either a light grey or metal maybe. Or at the very least make the red light more visible. If the intensity of white is 1, then red should maybe go .5 to 1 so it's always there. If you really want to sell feedback maybe the highlight color can change on filled/empty.

Again, great work. The VO was hilarious. Very impressed you got a complete story out of this with no real game breaking bugs.

Sorry, was tired last night, I should have described it. it was in color, and lit, There was a bit of fog, but looked nothing like your video. I didn't find any rooms to go into, I just wandered around a city. The right button worked, but not left. I'm going to assume this is all because I'm on mac and using Bourbon 26 emulation (wine emulation), so I wouldn't read too much into it. If I get a chance I'll post a screenshot later.

Very nice art, would love to see this as an actual game! Great job.

I don't think it was working for me, didn't look at all like your videos on Discord. Having said that, I'll judge it by those - great work, super creepy :D

Very in depth crafting and questing for 7 days! Great job.

Great work! So much effort put into this. As others have said, wish there was a compass since you're giving cardinal directions but no reference. Luckily the map isn't super huge so I didn't get too lost (and I also played a couple of your betas :D ) Really nice job.

Wow, this came a long way! I would lower the music volume a bunch. the music is fine, it's just overpowering as it is now. I still feel like the hidden object should be something a bit out of place. Love the 2 person mode. Great work!

Fantastic! I can't believe the amount of work that went into this! Looks, sounds and feels great! Took me a minute to figure out the controls, but once I did it was awesome. The fact that it's procedural is even more impressive. Great job!
