LOVED the art for this, what a cute little concept!! Took me a little while for each accessory to figure out where I was going, but I loved the moments of discovery when I realized where I could head next. Cute and fun!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
I love love the sprites, the ghosts are so cute!! We love a good ghost party. Was also fun seeing all the little accessories and powers you can get. My only complaint was the memorization and guessing, but I suppose that comes with a maze game. It's also cool that you can speed through it on your second playthrough and have a timer to add replayability
Thank you! I ran out of time but thought of expanding on the concept to make the puzzles better but oh well.
Simple, short, cute experience. Favorite part was the secret glasses, I love mechanics like that in games that reveal hidden things in familiar environments. Little time based speedrun games are one of my favorite genres for game jams, and love to see people compare times and such during the judging period. Would love to see some ways to add more short cuts or ways to further entice players to do further attempts
Thank you! I tried for a long time to hook up the times to a backend and have a leaderboard, I think it would have been great to see who had the fastest times but I kept running into errors I couldn't solve and no time.
I loved the use of accessories as part of the goal of the game play! Getting to choose a base character was also really cute, and I love the concept that they gave you special powers. The maze was confusing so i wish there was maybe hints, but also I figured it out eventually.
The details in the pixel art were really fun! such as the glowing eyes in the holes in the walls and the overall design of the haunted castle :)
Thank you! It was a fun project to add little art assets to.
Very cute concept! Made it to the party in 4 minutes, the timer really encouraged me to try and do it quickly. Would be interesting to see a game concept like this expanded out into more levels and how that would mix things up.
Am I correct in assuming the items had to be collected in the 'correct' order? Seemed like you couldn't really collect them out of order given how the level was laid out.
Thank you! Yes you needed to get all the items in order.
Cool idea, finished it in just over 5 minutes. I do feel like you need to offer more visual cues as the game is really just trial and error, especially knowing which walls you can walk thru. I'd suggest make it more of a maze where there are plenty of options for paths but only one correct one so that it remains a challenge. But I like how there are no enemies to worry about and you can just relax as you play the game.
Thank you! Good feedback. There are a lot of changes I've thought of making but didn't have time. I also think adding additional audio cues would have been beneficial.
Pretty nice game! I am very bad with puzzle games so it took me a while to get what I should do XD
I complete in 7 mins I think the logest score I presume
Thank you! I sent the game to a friend and it took her 12 minutes...so far I think that's the longest ha
Glad to hear that! :>
I like the atmosphere and the puzzles are just challenging enough to be entertaining without being frustrating and the sub-5 minute playtime is perfect! I can see this being fleshed out with more levels.
The ghost movement looks a little bit janky, but the controls are fine.
Thank you! I originally had some ghost movement animations but removed when I added different character options.
Really cute little game! My time was just over 4 minutes but now that i know what I'm doing i could totally bring that down. Only puzzle I had a hard time with was the first one, It felt like the element pedestals kept going out for no reason, and when i activated one i had a hard time deactivating it. I got it with some patience tho. Great job!
I kinda had a similar issue when I play tested it the first time and I wish I got the chance to do some sound design for it to maybe help clue you in. The way it's SUPPOSED to work is whenever you click the right pedestal in the right order, it stays active. If you pick the wrong one, it immediately empties. Definitely feel some more clear feedback would have helped with this
Thanks for playing though! Glad you had fun
