I didn't think I'd enjoy yelling at random passersby so much, and yet......

It's an original and strange concept, but above all, it's super hard x) Maybe I have a problem with this type of gameplay, but I swear I tried 25-30 times to get the last sound right.

The art direction is very charming, it was nice.

Nice little idea with great pixel artwork, I just wish I could discard a sound wave if I accidentally scared the same person twice.

The idea of combining people's screams is novel, but honestly, it can't progress without looking up the walkthrough. It would have been nice if you could solve it within the game itself. Still, I'm glad you posted the walkthrough on the game page, so I didn't quit halfway and enjoyed playing it.

Very unique and it's executed very well. The art style suits it for what type of game it is and I cant get enough of our guys little "oo". The only problem I had was needing to control which soundwave to switch two with the space bar when it was more than two, I think I would have been able to understand it better if it was with the arrow keys or something instead of it switching in an arbitrary direction that you didn't know, it just made it a little frustrating. Great game though and I'm really surprised it isn't getting more attention with it being one of the higher quality games in this jam, great work!

Oh, please, rate this new one game /jam/scream-jam-2025/rate/3962987, everyone must go from one game to another to be a visible...

fantastic idea! fun and challenging gameplay. Having three lines was a bit difficult to navigate but I don't know how that would be more intuitively improved.

Nice concept! I found it a bit hard to keep track of which soundwave i would jump to next if i press space, maybe an indicator which one comes next would be helpful. Also in the first task with the two soundwaves a was stuck a bit since the soundweaver lady waves a red and a green soundwave in her tent all the time and i thought i have to collect the same colors but i think thats my bad :D Overall very nice game :)

It's an interesting idea, specially the soundwave minigame. I got stuck on the second puzzle because I thought the robot was a cat.

Really unique concept and gameplay! Was surprised at how challenging I found this :) Feel like this could definitely be turned into a longer game, was really fun

Developer

Believe me, if we would have had more time, I would have gotton obsessed with exploring the game mechanic and level design more, and of course, balancing it a bit better ;)

Unique premise, great execution, 10/10 art. Having to backtrack with the soundwaves minigame is evil tho lol.

Developer

As a wise man once said "get good". I'm kidding obviously! haha

Thank for playing, chacked out your game as well, amazing aesthetics!!

The story and ideas were all good, and it's engaging, but I do have to say that I would like it more If the walking animations weren't just side to side. Overall though, it's good.

realy realy cool art  and a cool concept   no real complaints

Excellent, plays well. A little difficult, of course. But overall I liked the game.

One of my favorite games I have played in this jam so far! I really enjoy the unique spin on the horror/scream theme and puzzle element. Magnificent work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Your game was up there for me as well!!

It’s a really creative mechanic that requires quite a bit of thinking to solve the puzzles. I think puzzle lovers would really enjoy this! But the level with the three wave lines felt a bit too hard. It took me quite a while to beat it. Maybe balancing it a bit more would help.

But overall, I had fun and really liked it. Also, the character’s voice was pretty funny, and the pixel art style is very charming!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely pay attention to the difficulty more in the future!

It's the first time trying pixel art, so it means a lot!

Fun game with a unique concept. Like others have said, the puzzle tuning for the third one in particular was a bit of a difficulty jump, particularly because the hitboxes didn't seem entirely accurate. It actually got me to play until I won though, so it was definitely fun.

Brilliant idea. The screaming sounds are the highlight for me. The path tracing part is somewhat more on the frustrating end. It could possibly be balanced to allow more space for errors, so that combinations are not too restrictive.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, I reckoned that the weaving minigame should have gotton more polish. I planned on having multiple solutions possible as well, but as i only had time to make four characters, it was hard to make it make sense (otherwise there was less of a puzzle element to it). I checked out your game in return!

I have to say I'm having a hard time finding games I like in this jam, but I really enjoyed this one. It's an interesting and original entry. As the creative guy on my team, I particularly enjoyed the graphic style. Honestly, it's a success. Thanks for that!

Developer(+1)

Talking about graphic style, your game looks amazing. I also lost track of time while playing and had a few heart attacks on the way, but finally got to the elevater. Thanks for playing, enjoy my great review!

Such gorgeous sprite work! Really loved the sound design mixed with the soothing puzzles. I did think the hit boxes seemed inconsistent in some parts, more so in the 3rd puzzle, but I may just be awful at these type of timing games.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, it was actually the first time making pixel art for me! I noticed the hit boxes being a bit inconsistent, wanted to improve clarity, but wasn't my top priority sadly... One can only do so much in 7 days. As I generally try to avoid horror games, I was on the tip on my chair when playing your game. Couldn't find Luis though :(

Submitted (1 edit)

Oh yeah total, only so much we can do in 7 days without going insane! For what it's worth I think you prioritized on the right things as your game was very cozy~

Till this day no one knows where Luis went in my game, not even me lolol

Developer

Hahaha, I guess the story breaks the fourth wall then, I'll have to increase my rating! ;)

Submitted(+1)

Really like how unique the puzzle is! It was hard at first but got used to it quickly!
