The atmosphere at the beginning in the parking garage was really cool and scary, but it's a shame you didn't use it more. It was a fun and short game; if you had made it a bit more challenging, it would have been even better. I enjoyed it.

At first i didn't know what i was doing but it was fun when i figured !

The atmosphere is thick, inappropriate and ugly, which is a good point in this case.

Few comments:

  • Buttons has borders on click, This is a tiny thing, but instantly notable. Should be simple to clean up.

  • Seems like the starting cut scene is not needed, it adds up nothing to the plot or immersion, only increases time to fun. If it’s not 100% needed for some reason, consider cutting it out of the game.

  • Steps SFX is just…not good. They are not even feel like steps and not synced to the movement. It is probably better to get rid of the steps SFX completely or replace it with some looping ambient noise when moving instead of what is currently used.

  • It is not always clear when you have to crouch and when you can crouch . Guess you have to work on proportions of the colliders or the camera placement. At time the camera was way bellow the celling, yet I had to crouch , at other times it felt like I can crouch, but it was not an option.

  • The goal is absolutely not clear, not from the game, not from the game page. Consider adding at least some basic description to the game page.

  • When approaching the butcher, nothing happens, but when interacting - instant death with the screamer happens.

Some of those issues are probably related to the web build, but others are not.

Hope the feedback would be helpful, cheers!

Thanks for the wonderful feedback!

But addressing that final point. I assume you’re talking about before it is active. Before it is active, you cannot interact with it. Walking into the machete it is holding causes death just as it striking you with said machete would.

Okay, I really like the atmosphere and visuals — the gameplay is fun too, I played the .exe version right away. Great sound design (I especially liked how the music intensifies when the butcher gets closer). Excellent work, I enjoyed it! Fantastic horror!

Thank you so much!

But I cannot take much of that feedback, for you see, our 3D designer (Jake (mineralbrewer)) came up with most of the ideas, and visuals, I done most the lighting, and some details, as well as most the atmospheric stuff, though. The music intensifying was thanks to Jake's friend's feedback!

Web version didn't let me move at all, so went with the exe.
It was a little odd seeing the pig guy just standing there in one of the areas before I triggered him at the TV, but figured he was some mascot that suddenly went crazy. idk lol
I eventually reached the end where it said you won- but he didn't stop chasing me! The true horror! :V
I then ran into the candy again and it just lagged like crazy, but eventually I was able to get to the credit scene with Esc- which I wasn't able to read in time!

Fun chaser game. Good show! :V

  • The web version not capturing your movement/mouse - reload, or esc twice.
  • Yeah… true horror…
  • Sorry for the lag - an illogical bug.
  • Puzzle horror! The panic and fear until you find out how to hit the main menu button!
  • Tysm for this amazing feedback!
