Unless it was announced exclusively to Patrons (I am not one, so I wouldn't know), I don't believe a date was ever announced. The last I've heard is "sometime in 2025."
I don’t know what you have seen, but no release date has ever been announced. We only said 2025, because that’s when we want to release the game and we’re doing our best to reach that goal.
If it is up to Chapter 8, I can see that them maybe squeezing it in December 2025 or early 2026. Otherwise, 2026. If 2025 (minus Chapter 9), it would be funny if they release the build by Christmas as a surprise.
I'm definitely not expecting them to release it without finishing Chapter 9. It does seem like at the current pace it would be a time crunch to finish before the end of the year, but I mean, the devs are still projecting a 2025 release.
