Quite the fun game. Quite emotional too. I quite enjoyed the gameplay aspects (minigames). And sometimes I felt the story was a little dragging (maybe that's my style). Overall it was an incredibly lovely game with a sweet message!
Really cute game. The visuals are beautiful and the story really sweet !
I guess it's because of time, but the UI to interact or inspect don't match the style. Same with the end screen. And lastly, when you are on the gameboy you can still interact with the environment. Nothing game breaking, just things to fix later. Congratulation on finishing this really sweet game !!
How does this game only have 2 ratings? It's one of my favourites I've played so far! :) Beautiful art, wholesome bittersweet narration that left me with a tear in my eye, cute interactions with the items in the room. The flashbacks were lovely (though I was rubbish at the fruit minigame :D). (I don't know if it was intended, but the marble bracelet reminded me of the core memories in the Inside Out movies.) Great work!
This is a well-told story and it is creative, and it evokes the feelings of loss and the difficulty of ‘being ready’ to face it. It also pictures the love and the possibility of revisiting and reconnecting with someone you lost and loved, and how hard that also is. I think it is a good story, and I am happy that Mom thought to leave something for his son in the future, even encouraging him to tidy up her room, that hadn’t been visited since her death, which is also a powerful theme.
Well done.
Hey, based on the screenshots the game look amazing! But I can't give any legitimate rating, since I can't play this on Linux. Consider an HTML5 build for your next game jam :)
I just added the link to our HTML5 Build in the game description. Please check it out!! :D
Hey, that's great! I played through & finished it. It is definitely a cozy game, and the strongest parts are the presentation - the 2D art and the music. Since it is such a text heavy game, I think the text could use more polishing - there are a lot of typos in it. It would have made the text clearer if it had speaker labels everywhere; as it is, the labels are present only in the "memories" sections.
Also, the gameboy section seems to have a couple of bugs, but it's nothing game-breaking. There is no background, and it's possible to click on the environment while the section is playing.
In any case, good work & I really love the 2D art you created for the game!
