Wow the art on this is amazing,,,

Developer

Thxxxxxx for loving the art ^^<3

The visuals are promising, but the controls feel awkward and inconsistent, which makes the gameplay frustrating at times. The level design is confusing in spots, and the lack of clear goals can leave players directionless. With some serious polish on the mechanics and pacing, this could be a standout jam entry. If you have a moment, I’d really appreciate it if you checked out and rated my Halloween jam game too: /jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3971977

Very cool game!
The foot animations were simple and fluid, and I like the dodging mechanic using the ghost form.
The boss fight was also a really nice touch!

I love the artwork. The music is good as well.

It wasn't too clear what I was supposed to be doing. Am I supposed to do something with the cats? Or the doors? I just kept walking to the right until I reached the rat, who killed me pretty fast.  😕

I am an absolute sucker for wonderful art and this game has plenty of it! Combat is a little unclear at the moment but that's something super easy to fix if this project were developed post-jam. Very cool!

I love seeing other Godot games. The art was fantastic. Really well done. The music was good too.

I spent a while ringing doorbells and got nothing. The combat was hard to read. Was I hitting and dealing damage? Were they? What was the dash for? Also it would have only taken a minute to add Gamepad support which would have really improved the play experience IMO.

It really has a lot of potential!

The graphics are nice, the little ghost is cute. The music blends well in.

But I don't like the commands : the only used mouse button could have been mapped on the keyboard. Even one key for the normal attack and another key for the strong one.

As said by other comments say, the game lacks sound feedback for the attacks and when hit ; I didn't even understand when I got hit.

Honestly, I must add that my daughter looked at the game and went away, disappointed.

The idea is good, maybe more time and tests would have made it better.

Thx for long comment!!! We will improve this if we do some further develop

I love the artwork,  the animations are great (although I don't understand why the ghost shrinks when charging up for the heavy attack?) and the music was also wonderful and fitted the game very well.

SFX were a bit lacking & it was a shame to see no visual feedback when hitting an enemy.  Also the very first issue i ran into was after first loading up the game, I tried to click in the middle of the "HELP" button to see take a look, and instead clicked the EXIT button which quit the game. This was because you can see that the actual button are far far bigger than the images, so they don't match at all. I think on closer inspection this is true for all the buttons in the menus as you can see an outline of the button  when you click them.

So overall art & music are really good, SFX are lacking and the mechanics / technical side need tightening up to make the most of a promising idea.

Keep at it guys.

The style is really cute! The only thing is the feedback between what happens and the sound... Otherwise, it's really nice.

Thx for comment! Several player told us this issue and we will add visual feedbacks after the jam. :3

Super cool visuals! I love the art style. I think the game could improve a lot just from having clearer feedback via either some sound effects or visual effects. Overall great job!

Developer

Yes and we will try to do some further dev after the jam end and add visual feedbacks. Btw thx for loving art!

Loved the art design, but the communication and feedback between animation and mechanics could use some work.
Hit feedback is a must, both when enemies hit you and when you hit enemies.

And I wasn't sure if I could kill the flies before they hurt me. At first I thought you just had to duck under them, but the third one hurt me while I was ducking underneath it.

I also got the rat down to 0, I think, since it stopped going down after attacks, and I eventually died because it didn't die. lol

Thx for feedback! We will definitely add this after the jam end^^

the art and theme are great. mechanically though i was not sure what was going on. i think it needs some damage feedback to help communicate to the player when they are damaging. there also seemed to be a cooldown or limit to the spacebar, but i didn't see the display for that. STILL GREAT. gave it 2x 5 stars,.

Thx for the comment! ^^ Yes, the game lacks visual feedback. As for the space bar, the mechanic is that you need to collect candies when passing houses — once you have enough, you can dash.

visually charming, however, a little confusing
