The idea of the free rotation while driving around the cart is definitely interesting, it's kinda fun but maybe it's a little bit too random, I would try to make it more controllable in some way. The 8-bit music was maybe a little bit too much for a cozy game, I think a supermarket-style music would've been a better choice.
All in all nice cute game and I really really liked the presentation, well done.

This might be my favorite concept out of any of the games yet, it's very creative! The splash art is also really cute, so good job all around!
Omg, the music design is awesome! I love how the song gets more intricate as you pick up more stuff, or while the big enemy is aggroed. The game-over screen is funny, and I especially like the art at the end.
If I didn't read the description beneath the game, I'd have no idea that I needed my son, so I think that could be a bit clearer. Also, feedback sounds or effects when taking damage would be cool, as I had trouble noticing that the dolls were throwing stuff to hurt me until my second playthrough.
I had fun, and I think grocery shopping as a little vampire and finding your bat son is pretty cute.
Yeah we didn't have time to put everything we wanted in but I am glad you had fun playing!
the spinning dracula and his cart are quite silly. i like it
That's basically how grocery shopping feels for me! Maybe not the cozyest of all games but I sure had fun!
I loved it, I love it when programmers don’t lock the rotation so you rotate in Z but you can continue moving normally because you move in X Y. I really think it’s a very fun concept. I don’t know if it has much to do with Cozy Fall, but I loved it.
Fall is Halloween so it's got a Dracula character lol
It's quite short, but the game is good. I like the concept and the art is great.
Well done.
Nice little game with a simple mechanic but gets the job done!
As someone else already pointed out, I am not sure if the character spinning after bumping into stuff was an intended part of the gameplay, I couldactually be a nice mechanic but I feel like it didn't really get exploited. I think I would have preferred if the character would simply be at the same angle as the direction.
I like the very cute art style and it was really nice to add screens (the game over, win and menu) with very nice art.
Good job and congrats for finishing something! :)
I will go in and fix the spinning out of control. Maybe make it something properly implemented instead of a bug XD. I wasn't able to fix everything in time for submission but I am proud it is a playable game loop.
I'm not sure if the character spinning uncontrollably is part of the gameplay loop, but it was funny. My biggest problem is that some spaces look big enough to fit through them, but the character can't, and some spaces look too small, but the character can fit. This means that I spent some time trying to figure out where to go next, by bumping through every wall, and then I gave up. That being said, there is also at least one wall that you can go through.
I liked the idea of the character losing control after bumping into things - you should have likely focused on that & tried to make something based on it (no enemies, no NPCs). Finally, it didn't really fit the "cozy fall" jam topic.
Anyway, you have finished something & submitted it. That's more than we can say about hundreds of other participants :) So good job!
It isn't. I couldn't figure out how to fix the spinning in time for the jam lol. When the voting period is over that is the first thing I am fixing. Also I thought I fixed all the walls TwT I will go back in to do major fixes like the boss properly having a walk path and other things I had in mind. Maybe even an intro text explaining what your looking for.
Awesome silly game! I'm not sure how strict the theme is but I was expecting something cozier BUT ITS FINE I LOVE THE STORY PREMISE I have noticed though the old woman doesn't really move and it's very easy to just avoid her. A more obvious exit would also be great since it honestly took me more time to find the exit than everything else. Either way fantastic game and I love the illustrations! Great job! 😼
one more thing, the resolution of the game didn't fit so I couldn't see the shopping list until I opened a seperate tab from the project randomiser tab when rating submissions
Yeah, when making it I wasn't able to make dynamic resolution fixes. But I want to try to fix that all when the voting period is over and clean up some of the errors and maybe add intro text explaining more of what you should do as the player.
thank you!! I made all the illustrations, though I wasn't the one that implemented them. There's a ton of missing content I think would be cool to spruce up. This was my first jam that actually got pushed to completion, so I'm happy it's even considered 'playable'.
We did good o7
