Very nicely done, I thought the ghosts were so cute. For me, bobbing for apples was the perfect difficulty. I got it on my first try, but it was just difficult enough that I had to pay attention, but easy enough that I wasn't stuck.
I think it would have been nicer if some other ghosts had costumes, and their houses had some Halloween decorations, plus the end felt abrupt when approaching home after trick or treating.
I almost didn't play as I tend to avoid any downloads, but I'm glad I made an exception. I'm sure you'd have had many more ratings if it was playable in broswer as it's awesome! This game is so nice for only having 3 days to make, and I loved it.
Man! This was really impressive! It's not that often that you see 3D games in a 72h game jam and if you do they are never this polished! Amazing work! You even included a minigame and made really good use of the environment! I was totally delighted that after finding my costume the game continued and I could go trick or treeting!
Amazing work <3
This was done in three days? By one person? The polish, charm and amount of content is increadible!
Wow, I'm very impressed at how much you've been able to do in just 72 hours! The amount of work in this is incredible, with all the dialogue, minigames, extra mechanics, models and animations, that's awesome! The game played really well too and I enjoyed it a lot. The mellow cozy vibes are great and I liked the little quests you had to go on. It was a good length too, not too short and not too long. Impressive, good job! Thanks for joining the jam!
Very nice looking game, and the mini games and level design are great! I tried going into the dark forest O.o but maybe its a good thing I couldn't
the download size was the most off-putting thing, everything else was wonderful!
Yeah I spend my last couple of hours removing content. Unreal is particularly bad about file sizes. I could have probably gotten it down to more acceptable levels if I had more time. Thanks for playing though! I hope you enjoyed it!
Wow! Such a pretty looking, professional game. The environment, characters, controls and lights - all feel very smooth. Then with the mini games as well - all in the short jam window, super impressive. Great submission. I see you used unreal engine too - I downloaded it but can that engine also publish to web? Probably you would get even more plays and votes! great stuff
Unreal engine used to have a web build feature, but it quickly got removed, so unless you go back to an early UE4 engine your out of luck. If it was published to the web it might get more plays, but there's unfortunately not anything I can do about it. Thanks for playing it!😅
All arts and audio is polished, great job!
It's rarer to see Unreal Engine games made for game jams, but unfortunately they don't get the attention they deserve since most people don't want to download a game to play.
You went for a spookier route than the traditional "orange color" theme for every other games in this jam, but it was cute and did feel cozy.
Some of the frustration with the gameplay has been mentioned, so it takes me out a bit from the relaxing vibe, but nothing too bad.
Another thing I would have liked to see was that you should dress up your game page more, add screenshots and write better description. That would make it more attractive for players to download your game and try it out.
Thanks for playing! Did you have any particular issues with the gameplay? (minigames or anything). I definitely didn't account for anyone to play with a track pad, and I made it difficult accordingly. But im glad you had a fun time. Thanks for your feedback!
What a lovely game! Loved all the cute lil ghosts and cozy atmosphere (maybe not so sure about the piles of broken down cars haha), the minigames were fun, and like someone else already said, I was also impressed by the level of polish. Great job!
Thanks! I had to do something to stop the player from leaving and I thought that stacking a bunch of cars would be a funny! Thanks so much for playing! I also really loved your game!
This game looks it has a great potential, but I first started by being frustrated with the apples, thinking I couldn’t make it (I really would like it if there were accessibility options so this could be easier to play, because trying to pick up the apples with a mouse - or, god forbid, a touchpad - is really hard if not impossible, at the speed they were going up and down. So players beiing able to adjust that for their needs would be extremely helpful.
However, somehow I was able to get to 32 apples on my 3rd try (I don’t really know how).
It was the maze puzzle, that I tried right after, that I couldn’t find my way around or even understand what was going on. The ghost can get really big in front of the camera, and you can’t even see if you can go left or right, much less find where the end of the maze is.
Also, I’m not sure the resolution quality settings are working, I would double-check that.
I’m glad I tried it, but I hope this could get a bit more polish to be more natural to play, without as many barriers. Cute ghosts though, cute setting and cute idea.
Thanks for your feedback! I wanted the bobbing for apples to be challenging enough so you had to do it multiple times, but not annoying, which I hope you got with the 3 tries. There's also a little luck involved because every apple has an equal chance to be rotten. The ghost getting big might be referring to the spring arm. I was going to add a separate camera for when your in the maze but I ran out of time, your supposed to not get an overview of the maze because that would be too easy, and I lit up the maze pretty well I thought, so I'm surprised you couldn't tell you could go left or right. Perhaps after the jam I might add in some ways to see better in the maze. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
This game has an insane level of polish for the time frame, I enjoyed it quite a bit!
Thank you! I wish I could say I slept a healthy amount to get there, but unfortunately that didn't happen 😅
Really nice game. I was stuck with the apples but I made all the rest and it was really fun and beautiful !
Thank you! I was trying to make the bobbing for apples minigame difficult enough so you would need to do about 2 times. But maybe I overdid it.
