What a lovely weird game (in a very creative way). I kept trying to find different ways to die to see what sort of dialogues would pop up, kinda reminds me of the stanley parable where you're constantly checking for new interactions. I also got kinda stuck after the house on fire part, but I really enjoyed walking around. The art and mood is also superb. Great job!

I don't really get what are you supposed to do here, but it looks really cool! I really like all the fuzzy effects in games
Instantly very impressed with the visuals and the vibe, but then I was instantly disappointed with the controls, and after going through the loop maybe six times I couldn't continue. I really feel that had the character controls felt better I would have enjoyed this game ten times more!
So decent artwork, so much vibes, realy good work on the visuals!!!
I really love the mood of this game! And the death narrative each time is great. I got a bit confused with the controls and what to do after the burning house because after that I kept dying by walking off the level...but overall I really like the atmosphere and how this game feels. Would love this as a fully fledged game
Really gorgeous and creative. I fell out of the world and was wondering if I'd found a secret because it did kill me haha.
Wonderful entry!
Holy style! I love the look of this game!
Take a look at my game as well if you dont mind.
I loved music and visual style. How did you achieved that screen dotted effect?
Controls were confusing sometimes, i managed to walk right while facing down, for example. Made it harder to shoot. Overall it's great, good job!
art style is amazing and effects are well done
controls are quite hard to understand though
didn't understand why I died sometimes
really loved animations and visuals, great job
as other commentors have said, lots of rough edges with the controls, it's hard to aim and one time i died by walking off the edge and the environment blocked the death dialogue D: (but my game is really buggy too haha, that's how it is with game jam constraints XD)
but despite these, i kept coming back after each death to explore more; the atmosphere of the game is really captivating!! the visuals contributed really well to this atmosphere, and i like that the changed you've caused each life (eg setting the house on fire, your corpses, killed enemies) remain there after each death.
it's a bit unclear what actually changes each death (other than being killed by the snake letting you shoot fire?), it took me a while to figure out that you seem to become immune to whatever has previously killed you? (leading to me walking off bounds and falling infinitely, haha. i had to restart the game after that though :( )
and it's a bit unclear what you can and can't do: i tried blasting the castle doors with fire, thinking we were meant to explore the castle that way but it didnt work, so it was surprising when i suddenly lit the house on fire trying to burn down the bushes XD (i'm still not sure if we can actually enter the castle lol)
overall, i had a lot of fun with this!! spent quite a lot of time on this game, i would love to see this expanded into a larger game with a longer storyline and more unlocks!!!
Really great work on the art, sound, and music, all contributing to a strong and consistent style. And nice job integrating the theme (I liked how the knight interacts to seeing you come back after dying). Navigating the world is a bit finnicky, but the environment kept me wanting to explore even if it was a bit hard to, nice job!
I love the art and atmosphere of this game! Like some others said, I had a bit of trouble figuring out where I could walk and which keys I needed to press to move in the direction I want but I'd really like to see more of this style!
