Cool story concept with you being the echo chamber that steals lies and repeat the lies. Maybe you can store multiple lies at once to use would be more convenient for playing since moving between different location to snatch the lies and go back to try it out is a bit annoying. Some kinda hints would be neat too, there are quite a bit of trials and errors going on here, I don't feel smart figuring it out since it's kinda random (?).

The art was neat too, but I think the art direction is getting in the way of readability here since I have to squint my eyes to see what is being written (considering art is many times the enemy of accessibilities). I was playing on web so maybe having the option to fullscreen may help?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, lots of good points! I was originally going to allow for multiple line storage, but ended up having to scrap it due to additional complexity in design and lack of time =='' definitely something to add back in though

Hopefully, I can improve the puzzle design (more intuitive/logical, lead the player better/hints) and art style (readability/accessibility, fullscreen could help!) in the future!

A really cool concept, with absolutely gorgeous art!! The characters in particularly are incredibly charming, and I love the color scheme. This is absolutely one I look forward to seeing a full version of. Congrats on  the submission!!

Thank you for the kind words!!

Youve outdone yourself with the art, I cant believe how good this looks

Amazing style and lovely character drawings, but sometimes the artworks are a bit difficult to read, such as that cinematic shot in the courtyard. I had to look at it a few times to understand the perspective of the shot, which was a pity considering that it was a great sequence

Developer

thanks! definitely something for me to improve on!

This is very cool! I love the mechanic of saving the words to use later. Agree with others that it’s a bit hard to read right now, but the artwork is great and I’m very curious to see where this goes as a finished game! Nice job!

thank you!! :D

The game is really pretty to look at <3 Some of the text is a little bit hard to read because of the font choice/transparent text boxes making background lineart connect with them plus the little animation in the the text. Other than that though it was all a really nice experience :) Great job!

Developer

Thank you <3 I appreciate the feedback, I'll have to work on the readability issues!

Hey, this is really great! I really enjoyed the story and the way you’re directing it, and both the art and cinematography look fantastic.

I was especially impressed by the way you are using the dialogue boxes—though at times it was a little tricky to tell who was speaking.

The system with the lies and repeated dialogue lines is awesome, and I’m really curious to see where you take it. That said, I did end up getting stuck after trying out all the locations and struggling to figure out which phrases to use with which characters. I kept at it for a while, but eventually gave up (though I’ll probably give it another shot tomorrow!).

Overall, this is a really awesome entry—congrats on the great work!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words and feedback!I'll definitely have to improve on the issues you pointed out

Just to be transparent, the prototype ends after getting past the cop... so I hope you didn't spend too much time on it. Hopefully I can improve the dialogue puzzles and everything in the future :S
