Really cool concept! I managed 14 customers, and I liked the introduction of abstract names for organs, although I didn't understand "eye" and "salty". Also, I was able to exploit the game a bit by stockpiling organs from multiple bodies on the first customer, since there was no timer!! Really cool idea and very macabre. I like it.

Developer(+1)

Heh, ye it is kind of indented tactic that you can stockpile the organs, that's why there is more abstract words added to the list; Even if you stock pile you kinda have to figure out and remember what indeed is "salty" (though some of the abstract words are bit unbalanced and silly at the moment). Additionally there are also words like "eye", which you can't get if you just stockpile organs from the first body :D

But yes, even still, the balance is bit off right now, as I spend only one day testing and adjusting the balance of the game, nevertheless, thank you for playing and the feedback!

I really loved the atmosphere and concept for this game. As others have mentioned, more gameplay other than increased difficulty would have been awesome but I understand it's a jam game -- would love to see you take this idea further! The setting alone made it naturally terrifying, and I found myself wondering why I was working this job - I especially enjoyed the tutorial as just an ominous, vague entity on the screen - gave me Saw vibes. Very cool.

I was freaked out by the thought that I might end-up having to start cutting out my own organs!

Great ambiance, the door panel animation was smooth!

Nice game over all! Fun little "cooking game" kind 🤔 Lol. I liked the little kick they do when they are getting impatient nice little touch. Good sound design and atmosphere over all! Great submission

Wow, this like restraunt rush meets surgeon simulator, but all in a retro horror package. I love it.
I will say, some progression would have been nice, other than just an increase in difficulty, and maybe some indication of how much patience is left for the customers, I found myself not really stressing about it.

Still a cool game.

Developer

Thank you! I def agree, I wanted more have more involved progression, but due to time limit I ended up with just the ramping up of the stress and oddities that you find (aka. organ varieties). But, I suppose the intention was to make a stress simulator, so sounds I got it at least somewhat close here by the sound of it lol.

Tence for sure! Overall seems super polished, very well done :)

Super tense gameplay loop. I wish there was a fail state, I replayed and did nothing on purpose expecting to get jumped but the monitor displays the same message as when I delivered 43. Great prototype tho, really well done.

The game is great=). Mmmmm food... give me brains. I wish they'd make it online too=)

Another great “Restaurant” kind of horror game :D The idea is so creative (and gross but in a good way). Really well executed gameplay loop. Had to laugh out loud when I recycled the first body and it was just replaced with a fresh one. Great job!

Submitted(+1)

ahh it stressed me out, good job! T-T It was fun to play, really cool prototype

the setting is very simple but creppy as hell, I love that we can only see the eyes of customers and that the doors keep them anonymous.

The game is so pretty and atmospheric, I love how it uses both 3D and 2D elements!! As an artist I really appreciate how the whole place is so dark and toned, yet colorful in a way :p

Submitted(+1)

I like the creative way you did the menus. I had fun, I would love if the organs were 3D but as  a 3D artist I can understand how time consuming that would be. Awesome job!

Developer

Heh, the way I struggled to get the 2D sprites to work I was so close to just doing that, but yes, I'm still super new to 3D art so I feel working accurate enough recreations of organs was beyond my limit here. Best I could do is do do-not-think-about-it-too-much-and-it-looks-fine normal maps for the floor and wall tiles lol. Thanks, glad you had fun with it! ^^

The game is really atmospheric - I loved it! I gave away the empty plate and lost my energy because of that, only later I realised how to get the  energy - totally my fault. I didn’t find any bugs.

The only downside is that the mouse cursor is very responsive, so it picks up my hand’s small shakes - the screen starts trembling a bit, and after a while, it can feel a bit dizzying.
I especially want to praise the transition to the settings menu - it’s so smooth and well done! The sliders move beautifully; it feels really polished.
In my opinion, this game is good enough to be sold on Steam - great work, keep it up!

Could you please check out and rate my game too? ^^

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! My apologies for the mouse, it's always hard to balance these things when everyone has so different mouse settings, and I ended up falling for the trap of underestimating how low the default sensitivity should be lol. I had to lower it like 3 times during the play testing and still it ended up too high.

But yes thank for the praises, I'm glad you think so.

Basically Rimworld if it was realistic. An absolute gem! Really give me a spook when they started slamming the door. Great in every part, audio, music, art, atmosphere, etc.

Submitted(+1)

Wow, that was really scary! The controls weren’t always convenient and the main character felt a bit too short, but still — great game!

Submitted(+1)

Great game! I liked the idea of the game, really nice!

Submitted(+1)

Very interesting idea! I was a little confused on what to do at first, but i think it's fairly easy to figure out. Love the art style and the aesthetic. Super spooky without the need of jumpscares or jarring sound effects.

Submitted(+1)

I thought it went well, I like the aesthetic, the sound design is pretty good, and I like the simple mechanics. But I wish that the customers knew their fucking anatomy, bc half the time idk what they were even ordering. What organ is "slimy" even supposed to be, there all organs, they should all be wet!

Developer

Maybe the customers are just picky, or have disguised taste, like professional wine tasters. Maybe they know something we don't. Maybe, just maybe, it's the most horrific of horrors out there; Having to do customer service for idiots.

Lmao, ok no jokes aside, in hindsight it's true. Using the descriptor "slimy" for only some organs was a bad move, so I definitely do agree with you here, I had this exact argument with a play tester at the final minutes of the jam. Thank you for the feedback! Anatomy fixes added to the bug fixes needed lol

Submitted(+1)

I enjoyed this! The atmosphere was great. Loved their eyes peering through and the one word organ request. Appreciated that it was spooks with no jump scares.

Did you ever consider adding Operation type mechanics?

Developer(+1)

Funny thing is that this game was originally much more closer to the Operation type of game heh. I consider it as main inspiration here honestly. But yes, I originally wanted the player to need to do some precision movement with mouse / have some type of detail skill involved when removing the organs, but due to time limit, limited skills and uncertainty what kind of mechanics would fit I pivoted the game to be more about the fast pace stress and guessing what organs are what.

I am half considering adding something still, but that we will have to see ^^ Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it and find appreciation in the more mood-based spooks I tried to go for.

Submitted(+1)

It's funny, I was playing this on the couch with a friend, and I really thought I knew which organ was which until I got the stomach wrong 😂.

Submitted(+1)

Hello, remember me from last year's scream jam? Anyway, cool game! It felt like Cooking Fever only I'm almost certain my customers are going to kill me if I mess up one more order!

Developer

Omg no way! Glad to see you here again! Always super to see familiar faces, and sequels(?) to familiar games.

But yeah thanks! Sadly they can't kill you, yet. But here is hoping for future development of the game!

Submitted(+1)

Yeah, at a certain point I realized that they don't kill you because I startEd to panic, forgot my anatomy, and just started handing them random crap. Still didn't make the banging on the door any less terrifying.
