Short experience but good atmosphere! Wish I could play fullscreen, it'd be scarier

Good sound design and attention to detail. Was it a zombie apocalypse?

I wish it was longer but the events and story were well made and created some good tension. Congrats! Great job

Really great job on the game! I really liked the atmosphere and the models, and the little detail that I really liked was how crouching makes your footsteps louder (As your ears would be closer to sound source).

The cable thing is a little confusing, as I got stuck there trying to crouch into the tiny hole for sometime, but not big of a deal; the in-game tutorials saying the wrong inputs for interacting and turning on the flashlight also threw me in for a loop, I only realized the correct mouse buttons on 2nd playthrough and then saw you addressed it in your gamepage.

For a first published project this is really well crafted! I hope to see more from you in the future.

Thank you for playing and for the kind words and constructive criticism! It was a very fun experience and I'm definitely looking to join more jams with 3D Godot creations

Fantastic sound design! Really fun pacing, it was very clear what I had to do. The little newspaper clippings were great storytelling.

Thank you for playing! Glad you appreciated all the little details 🙂

Spooky and very atmospheric. This is a nice little game and it feels really complete, especially given it was made for a short jam (and that it's your first Godot project.) There's a lot of nice little touches in this one, like how the lighter and the flashlight actually give off different sorts of light.

Thanks for including a Linux build!

Thank you for playing! I'm happy you appreciated the atmosphere (which is one of the things I focused on) and the little details 🙂

Really great horror atmosphere! Sound design and general art direction are great. Really feel lonely and scared in that house. The only problem I has is I can't change the game to fullscreen, though, because the UI wouldn't change with it. Anyway, really enjoy this one!

Thank you for playing! Yeah, this is strictly a windowed experience unfortunately. I didn't manage to get to that part

Thank you! Just anti-aliasing. Otherwise I simply tweaked the light and world environment settings in Godot

The game is good, it has a good and spooky atmosphere and nice visuals, but i didn't get the main point, the main idea of the game. I see that there is some kind of story in the game. I think with some tweaks, this game could be turned into an excellent one. But overall, it's a good submission.

Thank you for playing! I totally see your point. It was a textbook case of the vision getting a little lost in the details while making the game. Doing more thorough planning before starting development is one of the lessons I take away from this project

The Whole Game Felt Very Unsettling. Why Was Everything To The Outside Boarded Up? I Felt Truly Alone In The House. Great World Building And Tension.

I feel like the name says it all  (as a guess) 🤣 "Movie Night at the End of the World"

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing! I'm happy to hear the game unsettled you, as it was one of the things I was going for. I'm also glad it made you ask questions about the world outside. I left it intentionally vague, maybe a bit too vague 😅

That was a nice little experience! I wish there was more to play. As mentioned under the convoluted wiring was quite amusing haha xD Your presentation skills were really nice in it too, normally that area lacks in Godot games so good work!  :)

Developer

Thank you for playing! I feel happy with the presentation. Spending a little more time on fleshing out the initial concept and game design is something I will try to remember next time 😅

oh I forgot to mention if you try to make the game full screen it breaks the interactions and the hud doesn't scale properly!

The convoluted wiring of the generator made me laugh. Silly little game, liked the inclusion of a real old horror film. Good submission

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing my game! Yes, the wiring may have gotten a little excessive for gameplay purposes 😅 I'll make sure to check out your submission too
