Hey, thanks so much for checking out the game! I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, the voting period has already ended, but I'd still love to know - honestly - what you'd rate the game.

This is really good! I'd genuinely love to see what a full release of this game would look like.
I think adding multiplayer, expanding the mechanics, introducing more features, and giving it a bit more polish could easily make this feel like a game you'd find on Steam. It has a lot of potential.
Awesome work, and I hope you keep developing it!
This game kept me playing for quite a while. Great job! I had a lot of fun with it.
You're the developer, so you know what fits your game best, but I had one small idea. Since hitting the number tiles perfectly rewards you with a higher score, I think it would be cool if the special tiles worked similarly. For example, hitting a time tile perfectly could give a little extra time compared to a normal hit. I think that would make those tiles even more satisfying to interact with.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. Nice work!
I can honestly see this game becoming something much bigger. The concept is fun, the visuals are polished, and the whole experience comes together really well.
If I had one suggestion, it would be to add some background music - it would make the game feel even more immersive. I also think more levels or a few additional mechanics could take it to the next level. That said, for a game jam project, this is seriously impressive.
Keep it up!
I liked the idea of playing as a snail trying to solve puzzles and ultimately destroy the entire human race - that's a funny and memorable concept!
The gameplay itself felt pretty simple and reminded me of a lot of other games in this style, so I think adding a few more unique mechanics or surprises could help it stand out even more. Overall, it's a cool game, and I hope you keep developing it. Good luck!
Pretty cool game! There's something really magnetic about games like this. Even though there's not a lot to do besides walking around, exploring, and talking to others, I still found myself enjoying the experience.
The idea is very unique and stands out from the other games. The vibes and atmosphere are excellent, and they really pull everything together. Great job!
I really liked the game! Killing "Nazi" vampires with garlic is such a creative and fun idea. The grandpa and the kid add a lot of charm and give the game real heart.
For the gameplay, I'd love to see a bit more variety in the vampires—maybe different enemy types or wave-based progression - and just a few more things to do as the game goes on. But for a game jam, this is really well done.
Great work, and good luck!
Thanks for playing! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game.
Yeah, I definitely overscoped. As you can see from the cover art, I originally planned to include a few more monsters, but I just ran out of time. Even so, I'm happy with what I managed to put together in the end.
Thanks for the kind comment - I hope you had fun with what made it into the game!
The game is awesome, especially the atmosphere and the visuals. I really liked your interpretation of the theme with the experiment and the elevator - it was a cool idea.
The enemies have a nice variety, though I do wish there were even more monster types to keep things fresh. Overall, it was a really fun game to play.
I also noticed there isn't a web build. My game is Windows-only too - I decided leave out the web build and focus on Windows. After seeing how many people prefer playing in the browser, I guess I need to learn how to make a game that works well on both web and Windows.
Great job!
This game has a lot of potential, but there are quite a few things that could be improved.
Sometimes it looked like my sword clearly hit an enemy, but the hit didn't register. Even when I did land a hit, enemies could still damage me at the same time. The jumping also felt a bit janky, along with a few other gameplay issues.
That said, I liked that the game was challenging, even if a lot of that challenge came from these rough edges. At first, I wasn't sure I'd enjoy how the game played, but I ended up sticking with it and had fun trying to make it to the end.
With some polish and bug fixes, I think this could become a really enjoyable game. Good job!
I made it to 64 rooms!
I think other people have already mentioned most of the things I wanted to say, so I'll just add that I had a great time. Getting about half an hour of fun out of a jam game is impressive. After that, the gameplay starts to feel a bit repetitive, but for a game jam entry, it's really well done.
The only odd issue I ran into was that sometimes, when I was pressed against a wall, I couldn't jump. It might have something to do with wall collision or friction.
Other than that, everything was awesome. Great job!
I think this game has potential. That said, it reminds me of a few other games I've played in this jam with a similar visual style and core idea.
What I do like is the chain-kill concept and the focus on getting higher scores. However, I couldn't really figure out how to consistently trigger chain kills, so that part didn't feel very satisfying to me.
With some extra polish and a few gameplay improvements, I think this could turn into a really fun and satisfying game. Good luck with the project!
I really liked the game! It has a nice old Castlevania style feel to it. I agree with the others that the air strafing could be improved - when you jump, it feels hard to move forward properly. I managed to defeat Frankenstein after playing for a while, but then I died and decided to stop there. If I didn't have other game jam entries to play, I probably would have kept going. Great job!
I liked the game a lot! I don't think it's fair that games like this don't get more attention - they really deserve it. The part with the saw was a bit confusing at first because it wasn't immediately clear that you need to press S and then attack to bounce off the saw. The saw-bouncing sections are also pretty challenging. That said, the animations and visuals are really smooth and polished. Great job!
Edit: By the way, the main character in my game is also named Bob. :)
Wow, I didn't expect the game to interact with my computer like that. It can create and open files and even access the PC's camera (though I don't have one :). That's probably why you can't just play or download it the same way as a typical game on itch.io. I'm also not exactly sure if "Horror" is the best fit for the Countdown theme. It's not bad, though.
Maybe some players missed the game's main mechanic, just like I did at first. At first, I struggled because I thought I couldn't earn enough time to finish the level. After playing for a while, I realized that defeating enemies adds time to the timer, and I also needed to read the messages written on the walls. That was the biggest thing I had missed.
The game is really good. I especially like that the levels are randomly generated instead of being the same every time, which keeps each run fresh.
I got a B! I really enjoyed the game. My favorite part was trying to get the keys from the cat - it was hilarious and definitely the highlight for me.
Everything felt polished, and I didn't run into any issues. I liked the art style, the music, and the overall idea of playing as a kid who's almost late for an exam. It made for a fun and charming experience from start to finish.
Overall, it's a great game. Nice work!
I liked the game - it has a really nice atmosphere.
The controls took me a little while to get used to, but once they clicked, they felt pretty understandable. I know some other people found them confusing as well, but in my case, I think it was mostly on me rather than the game.
After playing for a while, I noticed that the map was looping. At first, I didn't realize that was intentional, so I got a bit confused when I couldn't find any more trees. Once I understood what was happening, it actually reminded me of the previous GMTK Game Jam, where the theme was "Loop." That was a fun connection.
Overall, I enjoyed the game. Nice work!
I enjoyed the game, especially the music - it really stood out and added to the experience. I think the game could benefit from having more sound effects, though, as they would make everything feel a bit more lively.
I wasn't a big fan of the tutorial. I actually figured out how to play by experimenting on my own, and I found that much clearer than following the tutorial. I think the tutorial could be improved to explain the mechanics more effectively or present the information in a more intuitive way.
The core idea is really interesting, and I'd love to see more content added in the future. Nice work!
