The music choices are really good! The horror factor is also very much there. Short, but really enjoyable, so spot on!
I am also fine with the engine difference - I think you kept the spirit of RPG Maker pretty well.
I went through the game with and without prayers too, and I must admit I am not too clear on everything that is happening, but it just adds to the charm of it all.
