I really like the atmosphere! I like the lever puzzle too, almost got it right but apparently i had to both flip the order and the switch direction, only found out through comments here to my shame, overall fun!

Thank you! :D

Pretty good atmosphere and puzzle design. My one critique is that when you get chopped you can still hear your footsteps if you move, which kind of kills the tension.

Thank you for playing! :D Yeah I noticed this, forgot to disable player movment like an idiot haha!

Really love the vibes in this one! The character design is great and the audio is really creepy - definitely my kind of game :) I thought I had the puzzle worked out but I didn't work, so I ended up just going by trial and error haha... I've just looked up the solution you mentioned in another comment and I guess I got mislead :D

The only criticism I had is I'd have liked to have seen more of it, but I understand the 72 hour time constraint makes that difficult!

Thank you so much for playing :D I'm really happy you enjoyed yourself. Sadly I was moving house during the jam so I only managed to dedicate 15/20hours to it! I had a lot of plans, but wanted to get at least something out haha! Thank you for your kinds words

Super pretty! The music and sfx are really great, i had no idea what I was doing lol but it was definitely a fun time

Developer

Thank you for playing bro! Really happy you had a good time:D

You implemented the music and sfx soo well! That feeling of impending doom was well done (I was caught up by the eerie sounds) Honestly I tried my best to solve the lever-switching puzzle until I did some random switching till I got it. Kudos!

Audio👌 Puzzles were clever. Feedback:

Sometimes it's unclear as to what I'm interacting with/even doing. It took me a couple mins to know that my inventory is in the corner, and that those aren't just objects stuck out of bounds. Text could be easier to read.

Nonetheless, good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! :D I do agree with you, would have liked to tidy all that up a bit

Audio and graphic style are on point.

Embarrassed to say I solved the switch puzzle accidentally... Very well done!

Developer

Thanks for checking my game out Chaz :D I'm finding most people are figuring it out by accident haha!

Really nice art style! Also interesting puzzle, I needed to solve it randomly, as I understood from the bookshelf there was: Up/down/up/down/down/down (naturally i started from the left) but the right code was up/down/up/down/up/up/up (starting from the right) so i guess in the end the answear was from the gods perspective and starting from the right?

Hey dude! Thanks so much for playing my game. I’m really happy you enjoyed it! :D

About that last puzzle: the clues like “I was pulled toward the gods” were meant to mislead players into thinking it meant “up,” which is a totally fair interpretation. The real solution works left to right, using every “up” and “down” in the note as the order of the switches. Each time the note mentions an “up” or a “down,” that represents the next switch in the sequence. Hope that makes sense!

Also want to add, I played your game yesterday and its awesome! Such a cool twist

The artwork for the game is superb and fits into the overall atmosphere really well. I just wish I was smart enough to be able to solve the puzzles. You should put a guide in the games description.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Kind of you to say, i've been trying to improve my art as of late. Did you look at the bookshelf? ;) Theres a cool animation at the end!
