Pretty cool, the music was off putting in a good way, and definitely gave the game foreshadowing as to what was to come. The diving control was fun to use, too, wish it could be incorporated in a way that wasn't just 'jump' you know? Otherwise, this game was very nice to play and I loved the monster reveal. Congrats on submission!

started as a cool little leaf pile jumper game, into a horror chase scene real quick π
controls could be a bit better though, didnt feel too comfortable controlling the entire game with just my left hand
Pretty good, and a good choice of focus with the whole leaf thing, but the game doesn't seem to really begin until about halfway through, and then the second part of the chase felt way too hard.
Personally I was kind of hoping that the whole game would just be about jumping in leaf piles, I feel like the dive jump you implemented was perfect for that, but the change in direction was alright too. I just wish the character felt a little less sluggish.
I liked the contrast between the peacful, leaf-loving beginning and the frightening leaf monster chase haha ! The art style was cute and consistent, and the audio wasn't overwhelming. I did have a glitch where the leaf monster didn't chase me on the first level. I think it would've been enjoyable to have a more cozy mode where you have to restart at checkpoints rather than the beginning. Overall good and engaging game :)
I really liked this one, a big fan of the kind of cute but also eerie surreal energy lol. The music is very strange (in a good way), and I love this interpretation of the dialogue being incomprehensible. Similar to some other commenters I had trouble with the chase. I did get to the end but the second section of the chase nearly made me give up. Some glitches I experienced were that the monster got stuck in a wall or behind boxes a couple of times. (I went back to get him π) And in the menu the UI noises played continuously when I selected something, creating a kind of white noise. A unique and interesting experience overall! I chose leaf!!! Thanks for sharing your project!
This game has a good potential. The leaf monster was impressive and I don't know what's the story, but I interpreted it as an escape from a leaf cult or something. This is fun! Although, I think some chases were a little overextended. I also liked a choice on the last level. I was like "you're must be kidding me, I'm outta here!". Thank you for making the game!
I like the intro of the game where the NPC leads you to enjoy the leaves
Then the contrast mood happened on the next stage
at first I think you want to make the player wait the monster to destroy the fence.
The indication that leads that to it is the monster ability to destroy wooden objects. and there is also no indication before the danger area that I can jump over the fence.
And during top down chase, the died part is a bit confusing because when the monster caught to you, the game over screen only went dark instead of the usual hurt animation.
The other part is, you need to add some transparency on the cliff I guess? when the player are behind the cliff. Because I can't see well behind that :"D
But that might be hard to do :"
Very cute game! Love the comfy vibe and the characters! The game kind of reminds me of a roblox game lol but I really like it! Great job!
The leaf monster chase was fun, and i liked the diving animation when jumping and sprinting!
Cool little adventure! I really liked the leaf monster design and the chase sequences, though I found I couldn't seem to beat him on the third chase that was top-down (following the Leave sign instead of Leafs). Great visuals and if I had to nitpick, it'd be that the volume got really loud during that last chase sequence where the monster was wrecking havoc all over the place. Thanks for making and sharing your game! This was really fun!
Nice submission! I liked the chase of the leaf monster. I ended up choosing leafs and I am happy with my choice :) Really good entry! Well done
That was excellent! I liked the different segments for variation, especially the crash bandicoot one. Just the βleaveβ path was a little loud :β). But overall very enjoyable and polished experience with a lot of charm.
