The clue on facial is quite obvious while some are not.
Was a bit confused about the blood part but other than that it's a nice pattern matching game.
Thanks for checking it out!! The rules with the blood are just that any vamp with blood on their face should be rejected in level 2 and 3.

I absolutely adore this low-pixel style! As someone who primarily uses GBStudio I'd love to check out more with Pico-8. The whole game was super cohesive, and I loved the background SFX. Also, what happened in 1466... (great dialogue lol)

Thanks so much for checking it out!! And I agree, unfortunately the pico-8 sprite sheet is tiny lol so I had to be very selective with what art to include. But that was a fun part of the challenge!
Great game! I could see myself playing much more of it if it went longer.
Small nitpick, the forsaken ones feel... a little meaningless? I only allowed one in to see what happened, hoping that perhaps that would open an alternate ending, but other than that I feel like I would lose to them only if my finger slipped.

Thank you, and yes I'm considering possibly making a longer or infinite version after this! I get what you mean re: the forsaken ones, I mainly added them in to give a bit of extra variety and flavour to the game so that's why they don't have a huge amount of depth. If I were to make a longer version I would probably do more with them. There is a slight change to the ending if you make a different choice though. 👀 Thanks so much for playing!!

Congrats fellow first-jammer! I really like the art, and I feel like the visual differences b/w characters and IDs had a good balance between being fair and challenging. Also screw Orlok, all my homies hate Orlok

I don't know what Orlok did, but it must have been pretty bad. I managed to get an A rank. I messed up once in the first round and once in the last round. Very cute game with a simple yet satisfying loop with cute graphics. Really good entry and well done! I enjoyed playing through it :) Thanks for sharing it!

Absolutely! I got one in the first section wrong because he had blood, but not in the picture, so I was trying to match it exactly, not realizing that blood would be a mechanic later.
This game was super fun! Probably my favorite so far! I loved how you were able to achieve the muffled background music/sfx. I also really liked the little bits of world building, WHAT DID ORLOK DO??? 0_0

This is a great and solid game! It has kinda addictive gameplay and the forsaken ones are really spooky! And the intro is just nuts! The game perfoms really good and I haven't encountered any problems with it. Thank you for making and sharing it! You did great!
