I can't wait to come back later and see what more you add to this, because it genuinely feels like a demo of a game I could buy on an old console. It's really really cute and the art is beautiful. In a world where you had a lot more time, I'd love to see a larger map with more characters and stuff to see, but just this is already really nice.
Congrats on your game, and thanks for sharing here!
Short & sweet! Beautiful art, and a lovely comfy concept.
It's giving old retro Zelda / Pokemon in the best ways. Loved the music, loved how much you went into that style. The cutscene totally fit that too! Keep us posted about updates, I'd love to see more :D
This game is really cute! I love the art and the story/dialogue! Excited for the future updates!
I love the pixelart and the music, fits the theme really good. Great game
Gorgeous aesthetics and music, would love to play a longer version of this! A previous comment has already said this and I agree - the dialogue/text noise is quite harsh and loud. I know this is a small demo but I'd also love if the animals were more spread out to give a bigger world/exploration feeling. Overall though the vibes are beautiful. Thanks for sharing your project!
Thank you for the feedback!! I really like the idea of expanding the map to make the world feel bigger. I might give each animal their own little area in my first round of updates after the Jam :D
Really nice game,, kinda just want more of it? Nice work!
Thank you! More coming over the next couple of weeks :)
This was a nice game! The pixel art was really pretty and looked very much like old games! My critique is that the dialogue sfx is a little too loud and takes away from the comfort of the game, however this game is otherwise solid. Good job! Would love to see more if you plan on updating!
I appreciate the kind words, I'm glad it stuck the vibe I was going for! I can definitely see how that is jarring, so I will be fixing that in the first update after the Jam lol
Great visuals and audio, though I found myself wishing for a little more of the actual gameplay. There's good stuff here, and I can see you extending what you've shared and making it into a much richer experience in the future!
Thank you so much! I got a little too caught up in art over gameplay, so aiming to fill it out with more content over the next couple of weeks :D
