Game Description
A crafting and wave survival game where you craft gear and upgrade your camp to survive attacks every night.
How does your game tie into the theme?
The player is trapped in a forest affliced by a disease causing its inhabitants to decay and become aggressive, seeking to spread the disease. Decay is a status effect in the game that can be inflicted by enemies or by getting too far from the light at night.

Really impressive entry! It's amazing how much you got done for this jam! The artwork was incredible and I enjoyed the bow and arrow mechanic. Honestly, I think the switch from day to night could be even shorter, but maybe that's just me wanting to get straight to the combat phase lol.
Really great art!
Congratulations on your submission!
Really beautiful art and atmosphere, the core loop of gathering during the day and fighting through the night is great!
I liked your art style. Reminds Kndgdom. Pretty nice game, it's was interestig to explore crafts and try to survive against monsters. Also you can shot from a bow like a mingun and this is overpowered))
Great sumbission, you did really well!
Thank you! Yeah, the bow and combat system overall definitely needs some balancing. Thank you for playing it!
I love the game loop on this between gathering and crafting during the day and fighting off hordes at night, it makes me wish there was more to this game so bad! Juicier combat, lore, more stuff to craft, all things that could come with a fuller game rather than a jam submission. My only real complaint is that sometimes monster parts drop on top of interactable areas - like the campfire or broken palisades - and I can't pick them up. I see so much potential in this though, and I love the artwork and monster designs, really well done.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your feedback!
I saw this posted on Discord and was super excited to play it!
Playing this reminded me of two games I love: Kingdom Two Crowns (because of the side-scrolling tower defense) and Kingdom Come Deliverance (because of the crafting and materials system). Really cool combination of mechanics! I also like the decay twist too and think it adds a fun bit of flavor
And omg the pure panic and fear I felt during the first night haha! When I saw the screenshot on Discord, I naively assumed the skeletal stag was a companion, so I was a bit sad to realize I'd be fighting them instead!
I enjoyed the gathering, crafting, and building loop. I thought the upgrades and fortifications were a nice touch. The style is really cool, and the animations are great too.
The night phase felt a bit drawn out, though maybe that's intentional / by design? Also wondering if there's a win condition, or if you just have to survive forever?
I think if there was even more stuff to build or different types of enemies and some sort of win condition (like in Kingdom Two Crowns) I could see myself pouring a ton of time into this game.
Great work and really solid entry!
Thank you, I appreciate your feedback! Kingdom Come Deliverance is also one of my favorite games, it was definitely one of the inspirations for the crafting system. Currently it's just a survive as long as you can objective, but I would like to add ways to fight back or cure the disease in the forest if I continued working on this game. Thank you for playing it!
Wow, awesome art! Super cool that you were able to make a survival game in such a short amount of time. I really liked how the rocks and plants and stuff would respawn each day so you had to keep venturing away from your camp. The color shifts from day to night to day were also really well done.
Charging the bow was a cool idea but I quickly realized that spamming it was wayyyy better. It also made the bow stand kinda useless. Perhaps there could be another way to disincentivize players from just spamming.
Thank you for your feedback!
The art is beautiful! I'm obsessed with the way your main character moves- the little ruffle in his cape was poetic.
Thank you so much!
The graphics are incredibly good, the parallax background adds a lot of depth to the scene, but I wish there were some sound effects! I also really wish I could jump and shoot without being stopped mid-air, that kinda made the combat a lot more punishing, and since the enemies just kept coming for what seemed like forever on the first level, I died... over and over again lol. I also feel like there needs to be something to make the gathering part feel more rewarding because I spent a lot of time running and spamming E. Maybe some different terrain, places you have to jump or climb to get to, enemies guarding more valuable resources, etc. Tons of potential there though, I think if you could make this into a full game with these additions, and polish the combat and movement mechanics, I would buy this game.
Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it! I am realizing now that my perception of how difficult the combat is was much more skewed than I had thought, and I need to improve at balancing these projects. I really like your ideas for improving the gathering part, it does feel a little flat since I didn't end up having a lot of time to work on it, and it's definitely something else I want to improve. Thank you for playing it!
Very nice art, love the main character and their animation. Good concept but seems to lack a bit balancing
Thank you for playing it!
Very pretty game! I think that the general mechanics, at their core, are really fun, however, i think in execution they fall a little flat. The night time is VERY brutal and a bit long for how difficult it is. It sort of just turn into button mashing for 5 minutes while you wait for the sun to rise. The aesthetics of the game were lovely and I think it definitely has good bones! Overall, solid game.
Thank you for your feedback!
A bit brutal when night came.
