I liked the movement and gameplay feel of this submission a lot. Excellent work.

83 seconds, I don’t know if that’s a low or high time XD
The game is good, I really like the character’s animations :D

Great game dude! Would have loved to have the option of changing keybinds, though. The X and V were a bit awkward for me. But overall great! Managed a sub-50s run!

Great game! Some mechanics are a bit tricky to understand, but it’s really fun. Great job!

Really fun to play. Got stuck at the first tall climb but figured the mechanics and then it was a very fun platformer. Got an 83.49 on my first try, I will uptade if I manage to beat it. Good job.

lol, your review is great, the entire game was thrown together in like 10 hours so im glad you at least saw the vision enough to give 4 stars

in my household we also hate gravity haha

That was fun! but I got to a point that I can't reach up, not even with jump+dash.

Still it was fun, I wish you could do more with that camera angle, like finding hidden stuff or enabling new colliders to jump over, like in monument valley for instance.

Still, fun game!

thank u! you can spam dash mid air for upward momentum, i shouldve made it clearer

I think you didn't get what the limitation is (tbh I didn't either at first, lucky my game matched). it's there is no end---speed is the theme (yeah it's confusing ik), I guess you could maybe consider beating your own PBs (personal bests), as a part of that idea.

Overall I love the presentation (great for a 2 day jam). I think this character might be better for some other type of game; surfers don't generally surf on land (lol).

Took me awhile to figure out the movement but got the hang out it. honestly I don't feel the speed. maybe if I try again it might feel a bit different.

This was kinda confused about the edge in beginning part

I thought this was a level design choice.

I think it should been one button. forward + dash would makes you dash forward for example.

Anyway here's my time:

Hey thanks for the feedback!! I appreciate all of it

My use of the limitation was indeed speedrunning as there's seemingly always a better score (not that you have to chase it of course but there's no "ending" when you speedrun bc there will always be better score)

The surfer was originally supposed to be in the water but I made like 90% of the game in 10 hours bc I had no time in the weekend so I had to give up him going in the water which was originally in the game

Sorry the speed part isn't really felt, I could've probably added more sauce to make movement feel faster, I mostly just gave the character insane speed and power and tried to design the level in a way that makes these powers feel actually speedy, but I understand if  it didn't do well, I was kinda rushing it

Also youre right, I could've just done the slam with the same button as the dash but it was mostly split to avoid bugs, but your intuition is right with this one

Anyways thanks for engaging with my game and giving this review!! I appreciate it very much that you took your time to break it down🙏

Nice work! I got a score of 51 seconds after figuring out the mechanics. Love the vibes with the background.
